This is the first video I’ve ever seen in 4 years explaining in detail how to toilet in a van. Well done LuLu this will help lots of people! And you absolutely ROCK for taking on the subject we all wonder about
EXCELLENT! Thanks Lulu, that's why you have so many faithful followers, because Lulu's way is more often than not gonna serve us well too. And you're not afraid to get down to the "nitty gritty" lol. We love you and thanks for being yourself and being sooooo helpful. 🥰

Thank you, This is a beautiful note that says everything that I think about Lulu. The very best part is Lulu’s authenticity, meaning she don’t hesitate to get down to the nitty gritty. Lulu were tailored made for KZread. I’m so glad you eventually decided to start this channel. You influence so many lives while you stress it’s just your way of doing things. In other words take it or leave it. PS You’re as a matter of fact about this video as the children’s book Everyone Poops. 😊

As someone who HATES using public rest rooms, this information is much appreciated!
Love this frank and informative discription. No need to make this simple process complicated. You are keeping things easy and hygienic. Awesome. No black tank to deal with and no toilet scrubbing 👍
I’ve never seen anyone explain this as well as you just did - and I’ve been watching van life videos for many years. That’s why you’re the best! Highly educational as well as down right hilarious! I’ll never be able to see someone standing at an open van door again without losing it!

hello G!! thanks for your nice note!! I'm glad you found it helpful!!
Lulu, this may be a random or odd thing to say, but I have a point I promise. I accidentally happened upon your channel, not sure what triggered the feed. Anyhow, I stopped to see what your channel was about because the intro made my heart emotional. A year ago my friend passed away, and she was amazing, she was fun, sooo friendly, warm and welcoming, and she was just a beautiful soul. When I saw your intro I could see my friend to a tee. Your features are so similar, and your attitude is even more familiar. So I watched a few more videos, and as much as my heart is sad because I miss my friend, I’m happy to imagine she’s here again, through you and your carefree spirit. I love it, so thank you 💕

@@laurilenhardt2188how beautiful that Lulu brings light to your life. It’s It’s interesting how, as individuals, we have the capacity to impact the lives of others just being our genuine selves. It makes me smile to think of the different ways that Lulu impacts different lives. I hope that makes sense. If you’re not in Lulu book study group you may want to consider it because the book touches on things that happen that are beyond us.

Interesting and helpful info on an uncomfortable subject. This is useful information for more than just camping vans. Tent campers and hikers will benefit from this…. Even on the job construction sites. I’ve been on many jobs/exteriors with no access to bathrooms or running water/electricity.

As the commercials say, "EVERYONE has to go"..why make it complicated. Easy and clean is the main objective. Thank you for sharing.
So clever. Got a good laugh with the open door secret peeing.
Good video! I use a five gallon bucket with a toilet seat and puppy pee pads. I also use lemon and water for washing my hands because I prefer that scent. Serves me well! 😁👍🏻
Thanks Lulu. So Basic, not a lot of room needed, not a lot of items, very reasonable price wise. 😊
Had to LOL at your first experience with the Sheewee when "It did not end well". 😆 But you now have this down! Thx for sharing the details. You go, Girl! ❤
It’s crazy but I need the visuals of the little separate steps and you covered it beautifully. Thanks.
Great demonstration Lulu.😊
I like how you talk about delicate issues in a matter of fact manor. We're so used to doing things a certain way, and we've gotten to the point we sometimes can't think outside the box so to speak. I think this is the first time I've seen someone actually demonstrate a simple way to do their "business".
I’ve always wondered why ladies use she-wees, but now you have clearly showed why they may come in handy. You are just so cooool and I hope I can have your energy and zest for life when I get to your age!
Love your uninhibited approach. This makes it so simple. Love this video.
Lulu, you explain things so well. You are so awesome.
Liquids and solids easy-breezy!!! 😊 Love it!!!
I love her little studio set up in there! And that wall divider is absolutly perfect! Thats how i would live simple and very cute!
This was so neat and simple, I like how you didn't complicate a thing! I wish I was so practical...stay safe and joyful as you are! 🙏🙌
Love you peeing in the doorway 😁❤ . I have a sticker on my van that says “I love peeing outside!” 🤪🌳
For those of us who use pellats, if you cover the pellats in water then next da0y stir it up it makes a coarse like sand texture and makes twice as much 👍👍easier to use too

Yes, the wet pine pellets convert to sawdust for cover material. I still put solid pine pellets in each corner of the garbage bag, then some in the bottom to soak up any liquid. I use a Luggable Loo because I have arthritic knees, but I've got a urinal for the times when a quick pee will do. I never thought to stand in the doorway, Lulu. I'll have to give that a go. :) Jon in rural BC, Canada
You are frank and inspirational. Bless you for sharing 🙏 ❤️
Thanks for sharing your Absolutely simple and easy way of taking care of business like you do Miss Lulu.
A very tasteful way of explaining how to keep hygenic in a van. Thanks for explaining. X
Great video, Lulu! I use a bucket with the pine pellets. I'm not full time, but the bucket is always set up and ready in my van. Use a dirty public toilet? Not me! I put a gamma lid on my bucket instead of a toilet seat. The screw lid makes sure there is no smell, no spill. After I tie and wrap and tie again just like Lulu, I put it in a Walmart bag and drop it in any public trash container. I also use a spray bottle of alcohol for my hands. I also use the bucket to carry firewood or haul stuff. But I might just get me a sheewee!
I did the luggable loo in my van. It's a comfortable toilet seat and fits on a 5-gallon bucket. Bought the bags at Walmart, which were scented. Since I don't have bowel movements that fill a 5-gallon bucket, I stored my TP, bags, and some tools in the bottom of the bucket and used a Wallmart collapsible 2-gallon bucket on top of the TP. This smaller bucket was double-bagged and right under the seat. I tied my bags and dropped in a dumpster immediately. I used my own She-Wee (funnel bought in auto section that I heated up and shaped to fit my personal area) and bought surgical tubing at HD that fit the funnel perfectly (and glued funnel to tubing). I peed into a gallon milk jug and sprayed bleach mix down it after every use. I shoved a baby wipe into the funnel to stop the urine smell from coming back up the tubing. Dumped the pee every morning around camp. I never used a public bathroom. I was in a high-top van so had room for a bigger bucket/urine collection, but you get creative on the road.

Lulú, this is so cool. I'm a hiker and know about going to the bathroom outdoors. When I had bunion surgery (rt foot) couldn't drive and had my bathroom remodeled, I had no toilet for 9 days! Not planned. Too long to recount. I did have a toilet chair and used plastic bags. I then positioned a 5 gallon bucket outside my window and dropped them in there. The pee wee pads are a great idea!
That’s a ton of savings on those $1000 glorified van compostable toilets with the dividers- go girl😆😊
Clever! The only potential problem I see is getting up off the trash container. Many older people cannot stand up from a sitting position without bracing their arms to lift themselves. You had no problem whatsoever, which speaks to the good strength you have in your legs.

Good one Lulu. Clear, straightforward with no unnecessary euphemisms. We all have similar needs. Embarrassment makes everything difficult to communicate. Excellent information.

I just came across your video. I love the info. I'm gonna start my travels soon. But I have an 18 ft travel camper. Its good to have other ways to go to the bathroom.
Very well explained. I love your candid and honest demeanor. Blessings. ❤
I appreciate the detailed explanation. Very helpful!
I took two small pieces of pool noodle about 6 inches long each, cut a slit down the center just on one side of each and just place it on either side of the bucket. So there’s a couple inches in front and back not covered by pool noodle but the sides are and it helps hold the bag on and is very comfortable.

yes that's how my friend Barb does it (in the van tour video I recently posted of her and her van). I needed to cut them in half so they would fit in my cubby bin with the bucket. everything needs to fit in there, that's important to me!! 😊
You handled this on such a classy way! 👍🏼☺️
A great tutorial! You've surely put some folks at ease regarding how simple and doable this can be.

welcome to my channel!! thanks for being here! 😊
I use my small cargo van for camping trips, day trips, and long excursions. Figuring out the in-van toilet tricks was the most freeing thing! Suddenly, even day trips became easy. No more anxieties (real or imagined) about finding a good place to use the restroom. Even something like a pit toilet setup in national parks doesn't work great for me - they're so tall they're not practical. I haven't tried a she-wee before - but it looks like it might be a nice addition to my own routine. I'll give it a try. Thanks!
Just come across your channel. I live in Australia and you have opened my eyes into helping me solve an issue I have had for ages. I do have a porta potty but have issues with its storage and getting it out when needed. You are amazing and it does wk. great and thanks.

hey Judy!! welcome to my channel! I'm glad you are here!! Lulu 😊
I recently had to do a 24hr urine collection test for medical reasons. The Hospital gave me this Huuuge plastic bottle which had some sort of chemical in the bottom to take home and instructions how to use it. I had to collect every bit of wee I passed in an exact 24 hour period. They told me to use a plastic yoghurt or ice-cream tub to wee into then pour into the big bottle. The medium size rectangular yoghurt tub worked perfectly, which I used sitting on the toilet and holding the tub in the required location 😊. You're nifty tool would work perfectly also 👍👏👏
This is a great video. It is so informative. Thanks.
Thankyou for sharing about a subject which is sensitive. Its great to know for people going on the road. God bless.❤❤❤❤

Lulu very well explained on a Topic that only us humans can understand. 🚽💩 loving your channel. Lots of great tips for Van life. 👍🎉💞 Happy Travels. 💥
Thank you Lulu
Perfectly and descriptively described for those with little imagination. LOL Seriously getting it right can make such a difference in staying clean and odor free in the van. I like the idea of keeping the trash smaller and the double tie method is one I used when my children were babies and it's proven to work well. Again THANK YOU!!!
I use a luggable loo and Dbl-Doodie bags camping because I'm also up multiple times a night to pee and don't want to hike to a bathroom. Game changer for traveling for me. I hate squatting in the bushes, pit toilets can be so smelly, and cedar pet bedding (wood chips) soak up the liquid, and no smell. Easy to dispose of the bag, even in a pack it in, pack it out situation.
Very helpful indeed!!! Thank You 🥰 ep🐢
Brilliant, thanks for sharing. Love from Austria ❤
I use a bedside commode which doubles as a chair. Serves me well!
