Our family was split up when I was 11; my youngest brother and sister were kept together and suffered through several failed adoptions and name changes. I knew NONE of this until she finally found us when I was in my 40s. The rest of us grew up in separate foster homes but didn't have our names changed. We found that we had both done the same thing over the years -- looked at people in crowds and tried to determine if they were our siblings. We each had two sons, very close together in ages. I am SO GLAD she found us!!!

Wow. I am so glad she found you too. I can't even imagine what it must have been like all those years looking at crowds hoping to find your siblings!
Her sister was a real trooper to go along on that camping trip.

So happy for the sisters.
What a wonderful woman - practical , loving , adventurous , creative …lucky sisters 👯♀️
That is awesome, you guys are in your late 60s and you're still traveling. This is awesome, this is what keeps you young as a person. Keep traveling live life on your terms don't sit in the house all day and just rock and the rocket chair watching TV all day. This is what this lifestyle does keeps you busy keep your active? Loving it, love it guys also, that's what I'm doing. Travel and keep you up to occupied rather than stay in the house. Watch TV all day like an old woman much better...
Beautiful reunion. Thanks for sharing their story.
I no how you feel, my mom had a child when I was three and adopted out. She found me a few years ago by doing the ancestry thing. We haven't met yet but this June it may happen. There are 2 things that's weird. We have friends in common and we only grew up 20 some miles apart. Many blessings to you you both.

The joy on her face tells it all! And you, Carol, are the BEST interviewer since Oprah! You are so kind, asking the right questions without being intrusive. You are so authentic. God gave you a gift and that’s why your channel is successful when others struggle. ❤Blessings!

What a wonderful story. Kind of reminds my of my late father and my stepmother. She had never camped before meeting my dad. He not only got her into camping, he taught her to ride a motorcycle. For their honeymoon (both were in their 40s), they each rode a motorcycle from Seattle to S California. Later, they would live in a tipi for several months on land they bought.

Hi Carol. Thank you for sharing this heartfelt story. 🙏🏼💕
That building around is nice and simple awesome man. I hope she has a base to go to so she can stay one place if she feels like it and then travel when she feels like ithat's how I do it. I have a small base. This way, if you're tired of traveling all over the place, you have a place to Settle down and then you can travel again every few months...

WOW, what a heartwarming story about meeting your sister again after 43 years. Yes starting with what you have can be challenging but possible. I pray your sister will recover from whatever health issues she has very quickly. I have started part time van life in my Hyundai Getz. Yes it is small. but a whole lot of fun. I am still working out some of the minor details. My dream is to become a fulltime nomad. Safe Travels and be blessed

An amazing story 😁🙏🏽
Adults sometimes have no clue. I’m so glad y’all found each other. When my mother died she asked that our dad keep “all the children together”. She said this because my older sister is not his daughter. She was my rock as my mother was sick for roughly a year before she died. Less than a year later, my dad died in a car wreck. The adults said that although he promised…. He was now dead… so they felt no need to honor that plea that we remain together, or they pretended to themselves that she meant the kids that were his children and not her other daughter. I was told my sister just didn’t keep in touch. Now I know she too was a child who didn’t have means to keep track of where we were nor to communicate - no free long distance calls, no money or means to get postage stamps to send letters, no social media, living in different communities. Does she think we just don’t have room for her in our lives? Is she alive? Does she search for us? I’m so glad your hole is filled. Further, I know everything works for good to those who love the Lord.

There is a God. We just have to endure some real trials in life. But they come to develop us and God promised to turn all for our good. So glad for this happy ending. I'm a twin and if I had to endure that with my twin, the sorrow would be almost unbearable. May these two have more joys than they can handle.
