What a great looking truck that Ford LTL 9000 was. It had the most distinctive character and styling of any truck on the road.

When I see these old videos it makes me want to keep my old Dodge D-1000 roting in the yard. The scrappers are a callin!

I remember runninng N models with 477 and 534 gas engines with 2 speed rears dragging 48,000. Fords were noted for "character". Thanks for post.

At 0.41 is my dad's truck! Yepp! his exact truck he used for Conley Mink Inc. (1979-1994) It was a buetiful 1984 Ford LTL-9000 Super Deluxe, It was totaled in Cleveland, Ohio in 1994 in a down-hill winter black ice car acciedent, his truck hit a Chevrolet Cavalier in the rear end then the car spun around and slammed into his left side fuel tank, ripped a hole spilling about 30 gallons of diesel, then the car went under the Fruhuaf and slammed into the tandem axiles. He lived!
