That amazing pianist is Anthony Burger. At about 8 months old, he fell into a radiator and burned his hands so severely, doctors said he would never regain full use. They were wrong, lol. He was touring professionally at 15, and became the most awarded and in demand southern gospel pianist ever. He died tragically of a sudden heart attack in his early 40s, and his loss is still felt. He was a true prodigy, just incredible.

Operatic covering technique transformed into contemporary gospel singing. David is the best "teacher" you can have for belting with healthy technique and resonance.

I watched the entire video so I'd know I was giving you a fair shake when I said that there's a place for you here, you present yourself with a lot of humility and generosity, two attributes often overlooked on KZread and other places on the Web and, in fact, in the World... My friend who turned me on to David Phelps, said once, very matter-of-fact: "He could be pullin' down the big-bucks with a voice like that but he doesn't, y'know why?" I thought I knew the reason but preferred to hear it from him, so I said: "No, why? He said: "Jesus" (It might help to know that I'm an atheist.), to which I responded, very honestly, "I believe you, that was stunning." And it was...occasionally I encounter something that really puts a dent in my atheistic armor and that performance was one of them. Anyway... ...Now that we're friends, though, I must offer you two criticisms that I think might bring your game up and remember, I'm only telling you this because I want you to succeed: Hang a curtain behind you and move or remove the round lamp or whatever it is that is reflected in your glasses, very distracting. I like your low-key, relaxed yet engaged, presentation and I'll hang-out to see where you go with this. Subscribed.
