Thanks for blessings David gves us out of body experiences! Only the Spirit of God in David could have him convey those messages of faith with such depth, humility, honestly and beauty while filling us with goosebumps all over. He's soooo powerful.

Welcome to the world of worshipping with David Phelps. He is sincere and sings and writes from the heart. Yes, he is a trained performer with a degree from Baylor University in Vocal Performance with a minor in Piano. He is classically trained and performs the Classics beautifully. Many attempted to encourage him to go the Opera route, but his heart was and is with God and he was determined to use his gifts to glorify God and share the truth and beauty of the gospel with others through music. Thanks for that background. David should be a household name. I'm not particularly religious, but David seems to be changing that, since I'm obsessed with his voice from God, and have been listening to him pretty much daily since I discovered him 9 months ago, so inspired I typically end up in tears.

He actually wrote this as well.

I always love to see reactions to David Phelps singing Just As I Am. I just found your reaction which did not surprise me AT ALL. How could anyone have anything but their jaw drop at this song (that I believe he wrote the words to). The words. The way he sings it. Oh. Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. But did you ever hear/watch him do another live presentation of the song? Many MANY voice coaches, etc. have critiqued David and this song, but I would like you to be able to see this other version he did. David did study music at Baylor but as good as he is, I strongly believe it is a gift from God. His music studies only enhanced this special gift. I feel so blessed that he chose to sing for the Lord rather then opera.

I agree. When God ordains it it becomes something beyond our comprehension and David has a voice that you can hear is truly a gift.

The ones he doesn't write, he typically re-arranges to a new and dynamic version such as Just As I Am that you just reacted to. He literally re-wrote an old hymn, adding lyrics and making it out of this world.

The audio of that recording does not do justice you shoukd look up another version of this song

He also has done Whitney Houston and Elvis Presley. They are great.

Die to copyright I have to pause but if it bothers people I understand the need to leave. I watch for the love of music first and foremost so my channel is not really for acquiring fans. I’m content with what I have.

@@ranxstreet You definitely have to pause. I watch lots of reaction vids from others, and many seem to get away with only pausing 2 or 3 times. So whatever that's worth, just an observation. Also, do Love your sensitivity and heart.
