The two females singing with him are his daughters Callie and Maggie Beth. He has a son as well and they all sing great. Listen to him and his son sing "Eye to Eye". Maggie Beth can sing high just like her dad and has several videos worth watching as well. Amazingly talented family.

Hi, I just came across you while scrolling David Phelps. I've watched several of your videos so far. I am a HUGE fan of David Phelps, and it just tickles me to see your reactions to his voice! I've seen David in concert several times and I leave so blessed every time. I don't know if you've researched him, he graduated from Baylor University majoring in musical theater, being trained in classical as well. Upon graduation, I believe his professor was surprised when he was led to go the Christian Contemporary / Gospel route versus Broadway. He is obviously a phenomenal and gifted singer, and God led him in the right direction for sure! He's had a tremendous 30 year career as a singer and songwriter. Thanks so much for spotlighting him! And by the way, if you haven't heard him do classical yet, check out Nessun Dorma!

I too love hearing him sing Nessun Dorma. I have absolutely no idea what the words are in this language but it gives me chills. I too have followed David many years and I never tire of listening to him. His voice is anointed and there's no other way to describe his heavenly voice. ❤

David's professors tried to persuade him to go into opera but he knew his calling even though he loves and performs all genres of music.

My favorite GVB hands down is David, Michael, Wes and Mark... David and Michael are my absolute favorite gospel singers. I have followed Michael English for many many years...from the beginning of his career, through his "fall from grace" and back again. If you haven't read his book "The Prodigal Son" I highly recommend it. I was first introduced to David while watching this particular GVB. Blessings to you and yours my friend! 💙🙏
