Yes, she was murdered not long after this performance too. This show is the last show she ever did. She was well on her way to having an incredible career. Life cut far too short :(. You should check out Como la Flor, also from this live show. Really showed off her voice ♥ This video was NOT made in 2017. It was recorded on February 26, 1995 in the Houston Astrodome. Also You might watch the movie made for her "Selena." Not for a reaction, after all a movie is FAR too long for a reaction video lol. But it's a great movie and chronicle of her life. Her family was involved in it's making, so they didn't go outside the truth.

She had it all, charisma, talented, beautiful, all natural, she was the complete package❤️. Gone too soon 😭

Everyone discovers artists at their own time. But whenever I hear someone say that Selena Gomez is the only Selena they know of and don’t know anybody else by that name, I wanna jump off a balcony.

She is one of the best Mexican-American singers of all time! Most of her music is in Spanish. She is an icon in Mexico. Most of her music makes you dance: Como la Flor, Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, Amor Prohibido, El Chico del Apartamento 512, Si Una Vez, No Me Queda Más, I could Fall In Love....and much more! You should listen to her more often!

Welcome to Selena fandom ♥️♥️♥️ I’ve been a fan since 1990! I grew up in south Texas (Poteet, TX, just south of San Antonio). I got to see her twice in concert in 1992 (I was 8 years old) and 1993 (9 yrs old). My mom and I got to meet her backstage before the first concert ♥️♥️♥️ she was super down to earth, funny, kind, and flawless. She laughed with me and mom. She asked me about school. My mom told her, “Selena, Danny was supposed to go see his abuelita (grandma) this weekend, but he threw a fit and here we are!” Lol 😂 they laughed and I got a little embarrassed but I’m glad I was a brat that night. Please do more reactions because she was meant to be heard and loved. She left a huge legacy that I’m proud of, being Mexican American myself. When she died I was upset thinking she was gonna be forgotten and people will never know how amazing she is and was. It has been the total opposite, her legacy has grown and she’s now a legend ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

This show was a huge deal because the Houston Rodeo is like Houston's SXSW and Selena was Tejana (Texas girl). She was like Beyonce for Mexican Americans and rightfully so.

She had other options but she decided to go with the now Iconic royal-magenta purple piece for this show. It was also her idea to start with a "Disco Medley" number. There are amazing fireworks at the end of her Spanish tex-Mex concert, which is this same concert. The disco part was just a warm up and it was her dream to sing these English songs. I saw this concert in 1995 on the tv Live, when she was still alive and it was amazing. She became a beautiful Pioneer of a fusion of music. If you ever get the chance , listen to A BOY LIKE THAT - Selena Perez, that’s my favorite song from her.

She’s one of the first Latin American artist to break thru into the United States as she was breaking thru her manager killed her. She paved the way for many latin artist today.

Yolanda Saldivar was the monster who murdered Selena a few weeks after the houston astrodome performance in march 1995 at the age of 23. she is missed so much not just by me but by everyone. i discovered Selena after her murder through the jlo biopic Selena love that movie. Selena was a Tejano legend in the 80's & 90's who was murdered by her fan club president. I recommend you watch the movie Selena where JLo portrays her. She was headed for bigger things, even started a cross-over album into pop. She was amazing raw talent. No singing or dance lessons, just herself. She adored her fans & often interacted with them . Very humble person taken away from us too soon. I also recommend you watch this entire concert whiich unfortunately became You'll be blown away 💖 her last

One of her favorite singers was Cher and thats were she got inspired on her outfit... Cher wore the same outfit on 1977...

The guy in the background dancing is also a backing vocalist. Not just a dancer :). Also, she designed that outfit she's wearing there. She was a fantastic clothing designer too and opened a clothing store with her designs before she died. I THINK it's still in business, run by her husband now. You should check out Como La Flor from this show too, live at the Houston Astrodome.

That concert was the last one, it is from 1995, she was killed by her "friend", Selena was only 23 years old. She is the queen of TexMex and thanks to her today Latin Americans can wave in the international industry. Jlo made his movie in 1997.

Jennifer Lopez played Selena in the movie. This is the movie that made JLO famous!!! Its such a tragic story. She was shot by her woman who worked with her and they were very close. The woman was taking embezzling money from selena and her fans! She had just gotten fired.

This was in 1995! This was her last performance before she was murdered. There is also a movie that stars Jlo that came out a couple of years later. Till this day she is still the most successful female tejano artist

The first song was originally sung by Gloria Gaynor, yes she was murdered by her Manager ( Head of her Fan Club) because she was caught stealing Money from her. She made all her own clothes for her concerts and she was about to make her Cross over from Spanish to English as her first Single was completed and then she was killed. she would have prob. still be doing Music today!
