RIP beautiful angel Selena Quintanilla-Pérez (Lake Jackson, April 16, 1971 - Corpus Christi, March 31, 1995)

I don't speak Spanish, which I dislike about myself, but she was in the process of crossing over into pop in English. They released several songs, but she was far from done... Selena, is my favorite performer of all time. She was a beautiful, kind & loving soul that still had a lot to do on this planet. My parents got to meet her when she performed at a small venue here in Michigan in the early 90s. I am very jealous!!! Fun fact, Selena Gomez is named after her . Rest in power ,The Queen of Tejano!! 🥀🕊️

YES! they said she was so beautiful in person ! and kind! took a picture with anyone who asked!! they got a pic with her! i have this pics! she wearing the cow print outfit! t and my dads friend actually got to dance with her!!! I made him tell me every detail! he tried hitting on her but she said no lol. he even met Yolanda... this was 1991 the year i was born! my dads friend wanted a tshirt after their dance together . Selena told him he could have a free one! but had to go get it from her "assistant " aka Yolanda.. he went to ask Yolanda for the free Tshirt Selena just told him he could have. and he said she was rude and made a big deal thinking he was lying about the free shirt! she wouldn’t give it to him . he said she was cold. 😳 @@mariliamerino

Selena was all of the things. A diva without the attitude. Accomplished designer, singer, and a beautiful human being. She was charitable, a role model and she set the stage for the Latin Sound Explosion that came the year following her death, paving the way for the success of Spanish/English cross-over musicians like Shakira, J-Lo, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, etc. and "Como la flor... se marchito" (like the flower, she withered", but in our hearts she will always be young, always be beautiful. A goddess of her time.

I was at that wonderful concert. Emilio Navaira opened the show and Selena closed it, she was the biggest star that night. People with their banners, glitters, applause, everything was an event from another planet. She was so beautiful, even more beautiful in person, seeing her say goodbye to more than 66 thousand people was the most beautiful thing, seeing her so radiant. She was a being of Light 🌟

I know its been many yrs since she was so cruely cut down by such a low life who thought it was alright to rip her off, Selena trusted this SCUMBAG of a woman with her life, this magnificent young lady was such an inspiration to not only latino community but all communities in general, i still get a lump in my throat every time i watch her strut her stuff, the world has been deprived of many many more yrs of her amazing talent, its almost frightening to think what this lady could have achieved, and do you know what, she never ever seen bad in people, just 23yrs of age, only the LORD is able to witness her talent now 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

The last song of the night and the last song of her life. Definitely someone who will live forever. ICONIC.

At the end when Selena is talking she says something like thankyou all for making this possible for us. give yourselves a round of applause. We appreciate every single one of you. goodbye and goodnight. Then march she is murdered 😭💔

She was a very loving soul one of her friends described her as someone with not a mean bone in her body and her husband said she felt thing 2x as much as most people when she cried she cried harder and when she was happy she was happier she was and I feel that’s one reason we feel her energy and stage presence through videos she was also a natural performer she was never taught how to sing or dance her band members said she never practiced she just went out and did what she thought was fun she also designed many of her clothes and made a lot of her clothes to she was an incredible women who was taken so soon by someone who she trusted which was and still is a devastating loss rest in peace Selena ❤️

Fun facts; She hardly ever took breaks in her concerts not even water breaks; that stage at the Astrodome rotated slowly so everyone could see Selena. No, this was on February 27 and she died on March 31st. I hate watching her walk off that stage. I just wanna grab a hold of her and keep her safe.

Thankyou for another Selena reaction i subbed to you because you like the queen of tex mex La Reigna. I’m Scottish and discovered Selena through the JLo film the Selena biopic after Selena’s murder. I can’t speak spanish but i love her spanish music. Como La Flor means like the flower. This is one of my faves and the first one i learned to sing phonetically in spanish.
