She may have looked like a “diva”, but Selena was far from it. She was the kindest and most humble. She use to cut her own grass! 😂 I feel so blessed to have been able to have seen her perform live in San Antonio, Tx. 💕 She was one of a kind! 💕😢

@@demonsandlords I was 8 when it happened. We lived in Phoenix, Arizona in one of the Mexican neighborhoods. When the news broke, you could literally hear wailing thru the neighborhood. I ran and asked my little friend what was happening and she told me. We cried together. It was a big deal for awhile around the neighborhood. Signs and candles and stuff.

Yeah, I was 13 in Corpus. Kids in school where finding out that Selena was dead from the radio around 1 or 2 pm. Principal announced that Selena was shot and killed, school closed early for the day. I got out early and my mom picked me up, we went to Days Inn off SPID. People already lined up and we found out that her killer was still there and police talking to her.

I miss her so much. I'm Texan and will never forget when we found out she died. My dad even put a ribbon on the antennae in her honor because everyone loved her, and my dad wasn't the nicest person.
As soon as Selena started singing I goosebumps
Selena was such a pure and amazing talent we all lost far to early.
Selena was taken far too soon and in such a senseless way. She had an incredible voice and stage presence. "Dreaming of You" is my favourite song of hers.
I cried watching this , I miss her so much. 😞 she had so much ahead of her.
Something I’ve admired about her voice is, aside from her incredible tone and over all excellent voice, the emotion in her voice. It was never too much or forced and definitely never compromised her technique. It always elevated the performance that much more. I’ve only come to realize just how difficult this was when I sang one of her songs and felt like something was lacking. It was the emotion. It’s incredible how effortless she made it seem considering how difficult it actually is
Selena the Queen of Tex-Mex music!! Love her! May she rest in peace in heaven.
Selena was taught from a very young age how to carry her breathe and voice ... She was born to perform she is a true legend ! La reina de la cumbia Selena qunintanilla Perez 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I'm 59 years old and I remember hearing of her being shot and killed, this beautiful young woman would have set the music industry upside down if she would have lived, her talent and stage presence was beyond compare at 23 years of age, it still bothers me to this day that the world lost this unbelievable talented young woman. May she live forever through her music....

R.I.P. to the Queen!!
I don’t mean to brag or anything but she lived in my town 😊
I’ve watched Selena’s last concert , several times over .. never fails to make me smile & get goosebumps.
She could sing any genre, she was amazing. There's a song by her called Captive Heart, it's like pop mixed with some rock, anyway, it is very different from the music she was known for, and she still sounds great, such versatility
Siempre serás una grande, Selena Quintanilla, diosa!
I get goosebumps every time I listen to her beautiful voice 💜💜💜
"Hear that whooh? That's head voice" your so adorable Beth
It's been 25 years and it still brings tears to my eyes what happened to her! She was so talented, so sweet and kind-hearted. What makes it hard for me is, as a fellow 3rd/4th generation Mexican-American girl who didn't know Spanish growing up and never quite fit in with either culture, she was truly all I had to look up to. She was brilliant, she knew that cultural struggle and persevered. She was our gem, and the world was robbed of her. Truly one of the greatest losses in music history. It pains me to even watch her because it's hard to fathom that bright of a light is gone, and probably died in shock and horror. She deserved so much better. Rest in peace Selena
She's already a legend no vocals coach's needed Beautiful voice.

The Queen of the TexMex (Texan Mexican) music. None yet has acomplished so much in such a little amount of time with her great voice and charisma. And I just noticed that she has been dancing all the time but keeping the tone and air to sing the song as it is AND adding performer tricks like comments to the audience.

This makes me emotional and I wasn't even born during her reign, nor am I a super duper big fan of her music or know all of her songs. I am a novice. But I literally can't even describe how powerful the beginning of her performance is. It speaks to my soul. It's like the Holy Spirit is coming down from Heaven and touching every soul in the audience through her singing. I, I can't even. It's literally a seriously religious experience.
Omg, her disco medley from that same concert was amazing
I love this concert. Honestly you should have reacted to her disco medley she really sang so beautiful. This was her last performance that night and i bet she was exhausted from all the dancing and singing so her voice wasn't really strong but since disco medley was the first she really blew everyone away
