@@777Skeptic I mean tbf there are a lot of great examples of it. David Taylor's matches with Yazdani come to mind. Yazdani came out of the gates and almost tech'd him but DT slowly but surely chased him down and stayed focused. It's amazing what can happen sometimes. It's really difficult in wrestling though where it's hugely mental and if someone is blocking everything you've got you can get inside your own head and take yourself out of the match.

After only watching one match, Desanto still more worried about getting stall calls than actually trying to win a match with any skill. Brands coaching style: Instead of trying to get a takedown, just try to push the other wrestler out the entire match. Iowa's entire fan base wants stall calls within 15 seconds of their wrestler trying to run the other guy off the mat, which is in fact STALLING!!!!!!

@@wallacesmith865 I get it. Tbf though every official has a bad match/night. Especially when it comes to judgement calls. From what I've seen of him though he usually seems pretty consistent throughout the course of a dual. I do like how he always seems to try and make sure the wrestlers know when takedowns happen and he's about to start the drop down count, or when they need to clean up the hand fighting or finger locking. They're all going to have bad days/nights, but I can't really ask much more than an official that communicates and is pretty consistent.

Horrible strategy by Kem to let Starocci go in the 1st SV from the bottom. Kem is good enough to hold him down for 30 seconds even of he gets a count on his legs. Starocci was shown to be a good rider earlier in the match and should have known he probably could have held him down for 30 seconds for the win.

As usual, what's fun is always taken away or slowly drains... while what is still a good think but not as thorough, and assumed right for everyone ("select" matches.... WHO selected and for whom, exactly?) is still here. Please show the full duel on youtube. Just keep a good thing going. Seems like the main difference between these two great programs and their wrestlers… Iowa’s guys seem to get to a certain level and lets be clear, it’s a high level, but for whatever reason, they seem to hit a wall and stop improving (at least a lot of them) where as Penn State wrestlers seem to continue developing. Perhaps Iowa wrestlers get burned out from so much wear and tear on the body and mind. Regardless, this was a great match and I’m glad I got to watch it so props to Big Ten Network!
