It's like looking into a mirror at your old miserable self. She hates what she was like and sees it reflected in him. Back then Himmel told her off and reached out his hand to pull her out of that funk. Now she's determined to do the exact same for someone she sees in a similar situation. His brother slapped the taste out of his mouth because he was basically told "I can't leave because of you. You're the reason I'm living a life I hate." That was a well-deserved wake up call.

The small bucket and small sickle is his brothers doing...and so funny tbh😂😂 he is just trolling him just so he would leave and be an adventurer😂😂😂...this episode is so random with comedy and i love it... especially frieren with that flying kiss Flamme taught her😂😂

I love that her blowing a kiss to Himmel knocked him out. That was so cute!

Frieren has lived 1000 year TO THIS POINT. She will live several thousand years before she ages. She's more likely to die of accidents or wounds before old age.

6:11 Episode 13 is titled: "Hatred of One's kind" which means hatred for one's kind. The same kind here, both Frieren and Sein, have the same careless personality, living for the day and not daring to realize their own dreams. That's why she said she hated him but wanted to invite him to the party because she saw her past self in Sein.

6:10 when Frieren says she dislikes Sein, it's because she's reminded so much of her past self when she sees him just living in regret. The flashback proves that point. Saying an "aversion to her own kind" simply means she's uneasy at the thought of being around someone similar to her in that regard. But because she remembers how Himmel gave her that small push to be with his party (and into a 10-year life she now holds dear), she's encouraging the same now to Sein.

The interactions between stark and fern this ep, more specifically fern being angry at sein for getting stark into trouble will foreshadow their relationship later (next episode)

Stark gets flustered because he was raised as a warrior by a bunch of man and then lived with a dwarf he has no experience and Fren was created by a priest.

Predicting Fern and Stark's baby grows up to pull the hero's sword.

Frieren literally doesnt want to bother saving the guy or probably teases him until fern arrives. Frieren knows she will be scolded by fern if she continues to play ignorant of not remembering the spell.

The funniest episode by far... them waving at him... I lost it.

This was a funny episode. While Sein was telling Frieren about his past, I was wondering why he was telling what I assumed was a complete stranger about himself out of nowhere. Then, there was how Frieren was just sitting there listening to. Then, the camera pans out, and we see his situation and how Frieren was so unbothered by it all. Still, though, I wonder how he ended up in the center of all that muck. Surely, he had to start sinking in after a few steps, but you think he’d try and go back the way he came to keep from possibly going in too deep. With questionable decisions like that, he’s sure to fit in with our little group.

The beginning of the episode, when Frieren was watching Sein sink, she was ultra-trolling him for amusement. She was coming up with excuses to make him sweat. Then Fern showed up, and she knew Fern would get upset if caught trolling, so she exclaims, "oh! now I remember (the spell)"

The animated MV for the opening theme includes Frieren blowing a kiss to Himmel. Now I get why. Frieren finally has her corrupt priest, OP warrior, and someone to keep her morals straight once again. Not bad for an elf hermit.

1:23 As the series goes by, Frieren tends to spout lines more and more alike to what Gintoki from Gintama would say 7:45 If Mattel saw this, they will probably make a Medieval Barbie Set

Pretty fun episode overall

It's honestly perfect for him. Even if Sein finds out that his friend died, they can still tell him to come with them to "Heaven" where he can possibly talk to his friend. He can accumulate his own adventure stories on the way too. Win-win for him. Also, I think Fern and Stark's reaction to the flying kiss is probably because their image of Frieren is like devoid of sex appeal. So to them, it's probably the last thing they'd expect from Frieren. Or, they could just be acting or something. Either way, I'm not sure why Flamme even tried to teach that to Frieren. I guess it did work on Himmel though. 🤣

When Frieren says, "It's an aversion to my own kind," I think she might be talking about mages (priests are a form of mages in this world). The "doll-house" objects are probably due to Sein gambling so much.

Oh.. they're winding up for a big one

So some explaination, aversion to my own kind means mages. Holy magic comes from beliefs, Frieren doesn't believe in the goddess. But holy magic proves Goddess exist. And Frieren not liking him because he reminds Frieren of her old self, so frieren is dead set to take him out on the adventure.

Frielen's throwing kisses did not work on My Special . But it worked for my traveling companions, and it worked great for Super Darling. I think this was a very big deal . Elves lack reproductive instincts and romantic feelings. However, it is said that humans can feel sexual arousal and romantic feelings toward elves. Also, except for Zain, it seems that Frielen's party all thought Frielen is very pretty in a heterosexual way...
