See The Transformation! - Wood Turning

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This piece of Cherry defines my woodturning as much or better than anything I've turned before. The nature in this piece is magnificent! I removed just enough to make it look like a bowl and left enough to let the beautiful nature show through. I'm very proud of this piece and consider it my best work.

I may have said it before but, I love your approach to your 'work' Phil. Do only what you must to produce a bowl, a vase etc & then leave the rest to Mother Nature. It has served you well in the videos that I have watched before & WILL continue to serve you well in the future. Watching the woodturning of yourself, & a few others similar to you, has become the third 'love of my life' with my disability after my lovely wife & my 'drop dead' gorgeous German Shepherd girl. I look forward to MANY more pleasurable times viewing your videos.

I spent four months in a recliner, hospital, rehab, and am still working on walking. The silver lining was you and your work and your fellow turners’. There is a similarity between getting a really wrecked leg reverted into a working one. Your skill, attention to what the wood was telling you, patience to persist, all that helped as my leg once again became a leg. No fretting, just taking the opportunity to appreciate what you do. Even down to the homemade French fries! Thanks, Phil. You are a sanity saver, too, you know.

Your channel is so unique Phil. The intrigue is seeing pieces of wood no one else would attempt to turn, transformed into works of art. Always entertaining; usually a surprise at the end.

I have viewed a number of your videos and its plain to see you like to maintain the character of the piece you turn. Keep going Phil, can't wait to see what you are producing next!

Hi Phil, It is your best to date. The finish is just amazing. As you said before what you leave is just as important as what you take away. I also love the fact that you give a tutorial for some aspect of the project which helps us mere mortals understand the mind of a master and how to do things to get a result such as this. If you feel the steak is too big then give me a call and I'll pop over the pond to give you a hand. Oh, I can't do that because of the lockdown so you'll just have to manage on your own Phil. LOL. Take care. Cheers, Huw
