As much as I agree with your sentiment, a person in awe of a mentor struggles with believing the bad being said/written about them. IMO, it is much more complicated than your statement suggests. I think of Cassidy Hutchinson who has spoken about this very struggle in interviews and in her book. To me, what Ms. Hutchinson and Ms. Hope are doing is extraordinary, in a good sense.

Hope HIcks was a 26 year old online model for Ivanka Trump's fashion line, with a 4 year degree in English from Southern Methodist University. Then with no experience in politics or campaign work beyond the trump circle, she became his White House Communications Director. Am I the only one missing the whole "Qualifications" issue in this? Then in February, 2018, Hicks gave nine hours of closed-door testimony to the House Intelligence Committee, she acknowledged that she sometimes had to tell "white lies" in her work as communications director for trump, but refused to answer any questions about her tenure in the White House. Then announced her resignation the very next day.

I'm sure that she (or her lawyer) is following the trial closely, to see if any clauses favorable to Melania are getting activated by either the outcome of the trial, or by past events that are revealed or confirmed during the trial. Truth does hurt
I've noticed one thing about this new 'reporting from home' thing the media now loves...the video reporters/commenters all seem to have quite nice places, while the print reporters seem to live in pretty down-market digs. Tells young, aspiring journalists to major in radio/TV, not print journalism.

But there are some journalists who like digging out the roots of a story, doing the legwork, dealing directly with people intimately involved with the inner workings of a corporation, government, plot, etc. HANDS-ON!

Of course video reporters/commenters would be more concerned about how they appear than those whose expertise is more about words than visuals. Just like actors are prettier than writers.

Actually, Trump has gotten in trouble for requiring NDA's from people he appointed to public positions. The courts have ruled that such NDA's are not legal, as those people work for the country, not for Trump.

Those were ruled to be unenforceable as to people who worked in the White House or for the government. Trump neglected to have the crew members sign NDA's like he had the actors sign when he was the host of "The Apprentice," his old fake reality TV show. Trump cultists never realized the show was fake.

It is really interesting how no reporter asks these women how they were able to go to work with nary a daily or weekly concern as to the morality of doing so for months and years for such an amoral and sleazy man. So many lacking any moral fibre.

Grisham really likes to keep reminding the public about what an important person she was in the administration and how she knows so much. I find her to be an attention seeker. I also think that she has a bee up her bum about something and that she tried hard to make Melania look as bad as she possibly can. She says she was her best friend but it seemed to me that in her recordings she tried to lure Melanie into saying things. While I'm not a fan of Melania, I don't trust Grisham at all.
