He was not running his business as each of his businesses have CEO's who run those businesses. Signing personal checks i suspect would be normal in the white house for any president as they do have lives outside of the office that doesn't stop just because you become president. The part of what you are missing is trumps assets were put into a trust which means you basically do not run anything outside of approval. Its common practice when business owners go into politics.

There needs to be an even higher standard of lawful behavior for people who want to wield power from the highest office in the land. A grand jury already found the evidence sufficient and credible to charge the crime. The defendant hasn't really presented any reason for doubting the evidence and conclusion.
First time I have given a video with Simone in it a thumbs up, but I thought she showed restraint and respect listening to Lany Davis, who I so appreciate coming on and sharing - he knows whereof he speaks.

The fact that the defense wasn’t able to refute anything the prosecutors presented as evidence says a lot. All the defense did was try to poke holes into the witnesses testimony and that didn’t go so well either.

Unfortunately the court system has been slow but, it's also important to have sufficient and strong enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. Due process I suppose .. personally I want the case to stick.

The jury has to take the facts for what they are. And, these facts are pretty black & white. Anything but a guilty verdict will mean a bias jury. Plain & simple.
I'm surprised people are still discussing if & when did Trump know about the accounting of these cheques in the financial books. In the meetings between Trump, Michael & Allan don't you think this very question was raised i.e. how the accounting would be done without raising suspicion? How could Trump not know - he was the only one who could have given the go-ahead.

What Michael Steele said about Trump being a micromanager should apply fully to the fraud case in New York. Testimony implied that the finance officer handled all of those transactions. It might tend to mess up his appeal.

@@lestonthompson8495 in any court cases, the defendant has the right to choose whether or not to testify. If he testify, he could say "it wasn't me, someone forged my signature on those checks." That would have been an acquitted case.

@@lestonthompson8495 the NY Civil case judge lets him saying anything in his courtroom. Unfortunately, he was found liable, has to pay settlement and banned from doing business in NY for 5 years while his sons banned for 3 years.
I say again, why are we still talking about this. Rudy admitted this live on FOX. He also showed the text messages...

The point is not that he paid Stormy hush money, that is not illegal in and of itself. He did it to deprive the voting public of necessary information about his life that could have affected the election, that's what makes it illegal.

NDA are documents that declare promises of secrecy.. my question would be why would you have someone sign a NDA if you're innocent.

Both sides have rested their case, the defense didn't really have much of one. Now it's time for closing arguments and then to jury deliberation.
The jury deliberation process is not like Alicia's describing it. If a juror has an issue with an aspect of the evidence, it is brought before the entire jury panel. Jurors are not necessarily sitting there bickering with each other. And the evidence is clear on its face. It's not reimbursement for legal fees.

Weiselberg admitted perjury, he's in prison for perjury , he gets $2million for not truthfully testifying.

The Jury could ask why he wasn't but, I think in this case there's sufficient evidence..his signature and handwriting is confirmed.. irrefutable.. he's in prison anyway and being convicted doesn't make him a reliable witness for either side. Juries cannot call witnesses.
