Also, how about the fact that she escaped so many freaking times, was in the kitchen and didn’t grab a freaking knife or ANYTHING to defend herself with. If it were me I would’ve grabbed a knife and waited for him to come back, asked for help to go to the bathroom or something and then stabbed him in the neck John Wick style. Not only was everything predictable but it was unrealistic. When you’re in an abduction situation, you do everything you can to survive. When running is not an option, you fight to the death. And when your opponent is stronger, you use brains to defeat them

@Raphael Plett It kinda sucks tho because it's the first time I saw this movie. Due to it being recommended in my KZread home page. So I decided to see if it looks any good. We're not supposed to think twice if we should watch it or not because something might be spoiled. I 100% understand if if it's a huge up and coming movie like avengers endgame or john wich and you don't want anything spoiled. Fine then stay away from trailers, but it's just annoying when it's something like this. No one was waiting months for this movie to be released. So of course we want to see what this is about. We complaint because you'd think it's commin sense not to reveal the entire plot in a trailer. It's not even a spoiler. It's the entire damn plot. There's a lot of companies that get it right. Or even post trailers to make you think they've revealed something major but instead take a different route. Some companies even use scenes that aren't even in the movie just to give you a basic perception, and I almost thought that is what they're doing here. Little did i know.

I was praising how smart the detective early in the movie when he discovered some things were wrong but was disappointed that the moment he uncovered and saw the white pickup, he didn't call 911 for backup but instead got smashed in the head by trying to solve the case himself

This was surprisingly pretty good. From the outset it looked like just a low-budget cheesy thriller movie, but it was actually not so bad in the end. It was lacking, and it certainly could have been significantly better, however I would say it's worthy of being watched.

This pretty much is a giveaway of the whole film. Hard to feel any empathy on Russell when you know he's the bad guy from the start.

I mean, we knew he was a fake husband as soon as he came in saying he was. With a title like "secret obessesion" it was hard to hide. The most I agree with this is that they could've kept the cops getting suspicious to themselves and the reveal that she actually was married - just not to him and who he was.

I didn't even have to watch the movie to know what happened, but I still watched it anyways because... Brenda Song 😍.

I remember watching this with my friends and every time we'd see Allstate guy aka Dennis Haysbert.. we'd yell "YOU'RE IN GOOD HANDS!!!!" ahhh good memories

Movie was terrible. It would probably have been better as a porno (without murder, blood and violence of course) and most viewers would have been happier. The movie had all the elements of porno scenarios such as the hospital scenes, a little bondage, interracial sex, the kitchen, sex in the shower, etc.

Wasn't the twist obvious, as soon as he said " you don't remember me do you? " And smiled creepily I thought it was obvious he was a liar and not the husband cos she lost her memory. This type of story has been done so many times before

Everytime I want to watch a movie that appears to be good and they reveal everything in trailer, I just save the name of the movie in my notepad (like midnight sun) and few weeks later I choose any random movie from that list without seeing trailer. This works everytime. So, 'Secret Obsession' here you go.

Netflix must have done alot of research before deciding to go on this route. They have so much content on their site now and its easy to bypass movies and shows with vague introductions. Curiosity isn't enough to pull in viewers anymore. And there are plenty of people who don't care about spoilers since most films and tv shows are formulaic.
