I think the reason Cher's dad never got rid of Josh was because he wanted Josh in Cher's orbit because he thought the two would make a good match, that's why I think he was pleased when Josh went after Cher to go to that party. I also like this theory because it shows how similar Cher and her father are. The daughter spent the whole movie playing match maker and the father was playing match maker the whole time too.

This movie is actually insanely brilliant. There's so much stuff you miss at first and then catch on to later. Like the maid hiding behind a door when Cher's arguing with her dad about the orange juice in the kitchen, and you just see her pinafore and apron sticking out. And the delayed, off-camera crash into some bikes or garbage cans or something after Cher pushes a dude off her. Shakespeare references. The girl who appears to be using a marker on her lips, another with a bandage on her nose in reference to the popularity of nose jobs in California. Love this movie!

That "customize your own clothes on a tablet and your wardrobe will make it for you" technology has been in soo many movies and cartoons but is yet to be made even though its 2021

Whoever came up with the idea to do this deserves a raise because it's such a good advertising tactic. It is cruel of Netflix to leave the video up when the movie has left the library though.

Despite the old school lingo and way of how teens talked back then, you can see how the mannerism and dialogue are still timeless! The scriptwriter did an amazing job with this movie and still hold up to this day! Everything is so quotable and super accurate on teen dynamic; they really capture that dramatisation of everything about life

i so love her voice and the way her mouth moves when she talks

I mean they are not related by blood. There’s celebrities that are married that are related by blood. Meghan and Harry are seventeenth cousins, and share an ancestor. To me that’s more weird but okay because it’s a distant ancestor.

I always thought this opening was one of the best in film. Just pure bliss..what a way to introduce these iconic ppl to the masses.

Don't laugh, but that's the stupid world we live in. She's actually right. How does one learn? From practice, but the institutes want you to take classes, fill their pockets, so you get this so called license/certificate. Well, some just want to learn by themselves. If they cause an accident, they'll take the responsibility.

I started reading it a few weeks ago and all I can imagine is Cher, Tai and Josh talking in old-fashioned English 😂

I knew this was 1995. There is a huge difference between 1994 and 1995. Those songs from No Doubt and the super baggie clothes and styles reminded me of college first year.

The famous line "Oh AS IF" qq

Clueless, Cruel Intentions and The Craft all really captured the 90's teen vibe brilliantly.

What is the point of paying when netflix is not stable and takes away the shows? I remember that it was on netflix, so I decided to watch it and suddenly it was gone.

"And quit the suicide atempts, please" Said teacher, CASUALLY, grabing student out of the window

I love this movie so much.. Although Cher is spoiled kind of daughter but she has a heart of gold.. She cares for others❤️

Dione’s voice tho.

While this great movie has aged staggeringly well, I'm always a little sad that what was once the most memorable gag in it, the dinner table cellphones, is no longer a joke.

as a European kid in the 90s, America was producing the greatest cultural propaganda. It was mind-blowing to think any kid could live like Cher, even Kevin in Home Alone lived in a literal mansion 😂

This is in my top 3 favorite films and I ONLY NOW noticed Lucy hiding behind the door @1:38 🤯🤯🤯

Such a cool teacher. He gets his students on their level without seeming like he’s trying
