If you are a victim of domestic abuse, please reach out to someone for help. Please call the national domestic abuse hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE. That’s 1-800-799-7233 or go to thehotline.org to chat with someone online. The great thing about this website is that, at any time, hitting the escape key twice will instantly take your browser to a google search page. In the event the abuser is nearby, you can ensure that you don’t get caught trying to get help.
If you are having feelings of harming yourself or someone else or even just need someone to talk to, please contact your local mental health facility, call 911 or call Mental Health America who operate the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK. That’s 1-800-273-8255. They’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Where if it had been a smaller female who committed the murder she would have just shot him a 2nd time. She would not have opted to wrestle around with a nearly full grown man trying to suffocate him. It seems so obvious that it was him and not the wife. If they had confronted him more about all the inconsistencies and the fact that the wife would not have likely had the physical strength to suffocate the 17 year old son. Just an FYI: Bipolar Disorder generally presents periods of a week or more of mania, or hypo mania followed by depression lasting a week or more. These symptoms are interspersed with periods of stability. When there are mood swings within a day it’s something else, possibly borderline personality disorder, for which medications don’t help, only specific therapy.

I was also thinking it sounded as though she may have borderline personality disorder, although since we're only getting a snapshot third hand account of her problems, no one would be able to say. Whatever she suffered with, it's tragic that in that time period, there was so little help available to her, and it tormented her to the brink. Poor woman. I hope she's at peace now, and truly help mental health care becomes more accessible. Even now, people with MI are under-served and suffer without enough professional help being available to them.

I have been fascinated by serial killers since I read “The Stranger Beside Me” by Ann Rule in 1980 (definitely read it if you haven’t already) and I ended up with an MA in Holocaust & Genocide Studies which required significant amount of study of abnormal psychology. So I guess you could say I have some idea of what a sociopath is and what to look for. Having said that, as an older woman, I have to admit that if I met Bob at the grocery store, his smile would have attracted me. Hopefully I would have picked up on something “hinky” about him after getting to know him a little. But because his photos show a normal, happy guy in the prime of his life, who knows? And that scares the hell out of me!
