Season 04 : Episode 07 : Marcus Wesson

Marcus Wesson believed that it was his job to create children for the lord and taught his children that they were better off dead, then separated from the family. When some of his daughter/wives decided to leave and threatened to take their children with them, Marcus decided to fulfill his own deadly prophecy.

If you are a victim of domestic abuse, please reach out to someone for help. Please call the national domestic abuse hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE. That’s 1-800-799-7233 or go to thehotline.org to chat with someone online. The great thing about this website is that, at any time, hitting the escape key twice will instantly take your browser to a google search page. In the event the abuser is nearby, you can ensure that you don’t get caught trying to get help.
If you are having feelings of harming yourself or someone else or even just need someone to talk to, please contact your local mental health facility, call 911 or call Mental Health America who operate the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK. That’s 1-800-273-8255. They’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

It doesn't matter. Marcus would have done the same thing. Police can't just bombard the residence. He was determined to get his way whether they arrived ten minutes earlier or later. The outcome would not change. If police forced their way inside and Marcus killed the family anyway. Then you all would be blaming police for be too aggressive.

Marcus: "Okay" [goes inside, kills all the kids] Anything short of armed men barging in and subduing everyone would have ended in the deaths of the children, because that was Marcus Wesson' _plan_ for his family. To have everyone die the moment he lost control. Frankly, given how little care emergency response gave to these people, that was no going to happen. The dispatcher did not believe them. The officers insisted they heard no gunshots despite witnesses saying otherwise. Police did not give a crap about this family, they weren't going to waste a SWAT on them. After all, there were only sexually abused children in the house, not illegal drugs.

So the cops let him back in the house knowing that he allegedly kidnapped the kids. Good job cops, good job. Those kids could be alive today if they detained him to further investigate the situation. It's funny how cops are so quick to detain and arrest people for petty crimes but are so reluctant to take action if child abuse is involved.

I grew up in the church and let me tell you, it’s no wonder there’s a high level of dysfunction. In my time, I knew of two pedos that preyed on the vulnerable. They weren’t met with condemnation but rather pity. The religion also has a high level of disdain for other religions - especially the Catholics - and it attracts paranoid and predatorial types. Glad I left.

I'm not trying to demean anyone's beliefs here, or start an argument but I am honestly curious as a nonbeliever. If god cast Lucifer from heaven into hell, and the devil is supposed to be the root and embodiment of all evil, and the end of times is supposed to be an epic battle between heaven and hell then why would Lucifer punish those who showed up in his domain. Wouldn't he simply celebrate their arrival as much as heaven would those arriving at the gates? Wouldn't Lucifer simply bestow a never ending flood of each person's desires upon them to make them fight all the harder for his side at the end of times? Why would Lucifer punish those who disobeyed the commandments of the same being Lucifer himself disobeyed resulting in his being cast out?

  • @laurashipp447

@@shanem4703 Your question is a good one. I appreciate the respectful manner in which you presented it. I am by no means a biblical scholar but I will try and answer in my understanding of Lucifer. Lucifer was kicked out of heaven because he was jealous of humans. He doesn't want to bestow anything on the souls that reach him but punishment, when they reach him they will be in his control, they will do his biding regardless. Lucifer will never show anything but hate, manipulation, destruction, deceit, pain and suffering to anyone and everyone. I know this is a very simplistic response, but Lucifer is just pure evil and that's all will ever exude. Nice chatting with you Shane!!

  • @shanem4703

@@laurashipp447 your response wasn't any more simplistic than my initial question. So I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to answer. I'm not sure how a being that was among a holy host would graduate so easily or fully from devoted, to simple jealousy, to the extreme end of the embodiment of all evil and wrong in the world. At the same time though being kicked out of a holy host and cast down to become said embodiment of all evil seems like a severe over reaction to developing jealousy over humans. Seems like it would be on point with a ruthless divorce and followed by character assassination brought on by the spouses ant farm. Lol. A bad analogy I know, but the most fitting that came to mind quickly. Anyway, thank you again for taking the time to answer my initial question Laura! Have a wonderful morning, afternoon, or evening as the case may be.
