I`d love to be given the time to do a proper high quality finish like this with great attention to detail. Unfortunately most companies Ive worked for want it finished yesterday and they dont allow the time which is actually quite sad. But its great to see a true professional doing such a top class job.

Big fan of your channel I watch you every day. One question. When storing the brush you use for your bin primer do you fill the box of wipes with methalated spirits up to the ferrul of the brush so that all the bristles are submerged. Or is it a water/methalated spirit mix. Or do you just add some in and the vapors keep the bristles soft. Thanks again.
@PaintingandDecorating

Perfect timing - I’ve just removed wallpaper in bedroom and am faced with similar walls to this. I need to do a lot of sanding. Just wondering if you can use BIN primer to seal the walls as well? I have a paint sprayer and was planning on using that. I want to paint the walls and would rather not have to line them with paper. Thanks in advance!
@PaintingandDecorating

best not to use B.I.N. to seal the walls, lining walls gives them an even texture.

Thank you for the insight, it’s like going back to school! One question- if you weren’t going to paper over it, would you still recommend a diluted pva for the mist coat? I’ve got a Smaller previously plastered room I’m scraping back due to a failed mist coat And I’m not sure whether I should use diluted pva, diluted emulsion or BIN primer to seal. Any advice? I’ve watched your video on PVA, but I’m not sure the best course because there are still some patches where the paint remaina. Thank you again, you and your brother are my guides in all things renovation on this old house!

Great video as always mate. I’m learning loads! One question, I dunno if you can do a video on it or not. My dads had a family mate plaster a wall in his living room who hasn’t really left a smooth, even job. My dads painted it white but you can see where the uneven finish catches the light in the centre of the wall. It’s noticeable but not a total nightmare. Would you recommend sanding it down to smooth it out and then repaint? Surely it wouldn’t need a whole new plaster job from scratch right? Any help please would be brilliant! Ta
@PaintingandDecorating

Thank you, you may get away with filling and sanding smooth. and if that does not work lining paper will even the texture out.

Use a foam gun. You can place mastic nozzle on the end for tight gaps with great control vs cans that blast out and check out beeline sealer. It's pva emulsion that can be painted over. I'm doing the same though and works great for preparation. Good video though. ;)

I'm down to the original grey coloured plaster. Would it be ok if I painted straight on to the walls now paint called Dulux primer and Undercoat? It says it's for walls. I would then paint my colour emulsion on top of that . Thanks in advance
