Yummy recipe as always 😍 The way you cut squid, is it just for the nice look it gives, or does it have another reason ?

The cuts also tenderize the squid so you can bite & chew it easily.

Also if you're sautéing the squid, the cuts help to coat the squid in whatever sauce you're cooking them in. Yes it's for looks, but it has purpose too.
