    Another great tour Mark. Kim and I are planning a run from Dwyer's Bay to Tobermory next Tuesday, weather permitting. We'll miss seeing the Lion's Head but should enjoy similar views on our journey. It will be the first time in this area, so looking forward to a calm day with clear water. Keep up the great work!

    Great video. I’ve walked the cliffs at Lions Head many times. The view from up there is amazing. I hope to see it from the water this year from my new Waverunner. I’m just north of Oliphant so it’s not too far.

    It does but gets very shallow quite a bit off shore so can be tricky to get in but to anchor up not bad at all. On the west side there is Kid bay where a lot of boaters park. Has nice sand to get out and swim.

    Wow I want to do that run. Where did you launch from?

  • @MarkForrestAdventures

    @MarkForrestAdventures

    I have a cottage in the area but for that you could launch out of Wiarton and make your way out there. Or if you want there is a launch right in Lion's Head as well. Worth doing for sure is a great day trip on the water.

    Great video once again Mark! Is the Switch a lot more effort to get going for a solo day on the water than the GTX?

  • @MarkForrestAdventures

    @MarkForrestAdventures

    Ай бұрын

    Thanks so much Jeff as always appreciate it. I would not say a lot more effort as I find I can just toss everything on it and have space vs trying to fit everything on the GTX. Takes a bit longer to launch as just bigger and you have to be more aware and slower, can’t just run it down the ramp like the GTX lol great question cheers!

    Hi @MarkForrestAdventures . I'm planing to make the same trip, and I checked weather forecast / Windy app. it says 21-25 km/h wind ( wind gust up to 38 km/h ). Would you go in such conditions ? almost 2.5 hours drive one way to that place. Just don't want to drive to realalized waves are too big...

  • @MarkForrestAdventures

    Nice it’s a great ride. Depends on the direction if it is offshore then maybe but anything over 15 on Georgian Bay is going to kick up some waves and there is little to no protection. In this video wind was 10 gusts to 15 from the south west so the best direction for up there.

    @@MarkForrestAdventures thank you ! Yes. wind is offsore tomorow in the morning ( the same from South - West ) . I will check conditions in the morning. hope they will change to better numbers 🚩

    If they are from the south west the cliffs should block most of that but might get some wrap around closer to Tobermory. If you go hope you have a great time!

    @@MarkForrestAdventures Thank you. We change our plans that morning. It was too windy at BigBay. Instead we went Port Maitland -> Mohawk Island Lighthouse -> Long Point : aprox 100 km ride. I belive you got video on the channel with the same route.. eveyrhing were perfect except black flies at Long Point. they so agressive. We can't stay longer than an hour there.

    Good call you really do need good weather to ride that side of Georgian Bay. Oh nice yes that is a great run and so happy to hear you had a great time, well minus the black flies lol yes they can be nuts. Sounds like a great day on the water keep me posted on where your heading next!
