Student Doctor Kale Moreland "The Relationship Between Insurance Status and Prostate Cancer Screening Among Men in the United States: An NHANES Analysis". Student Dr. Kale Moreland is a Clinical Anatomy Fellow on the KC campus. Originally from Aledo, IL. SD Moreland obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Missouri in 2019. Before starting medical school SD Moreland took two gap years working in internal medicine, psychiatry, and orthopedic surgery. His current clinical interest is in Urology, and his research throughout the KCU anatomy fellowship has reflected that. Outside of the project presented today, his research focus includes health inequities in bladder cancer, influences on prostate cancer screening, the quality of online health information and published research, and surgical techniques for managing BPH and urethral strictures. SD Moreland's extracurriculars are primarily with the KCU First-Generation Student Organization, where he serves as a founding member and president. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with with fiancée, Sidney, and their dog, Winston. He also enjoys weight lifting, paddle boarding, and golfing, and recently started learning to fly fish.
