“SD” CODE: WHIRLPOOL CABRIO WASHER WON’T DRAIN? SAVE YOUR MONEY! (EASY FIX)

If your Whirlpool CABRIO washer is struggling to finish its cycle, taking too long to drain, or simple giving these codes (SD/LD).. I CAN HELP FIX YOUR ISSUE!
First thing first: THE CODES
SD: Suds Detected (this code will appear in the display, USE ONLY HIGH EFFICIENCY DETERGENT, and all the washer to finish the “suds reduction” routine.
LD: Long draining (this code will appear in the display due to a malfunction in the pump i.e LINT/DEBRIS and this causes the washer to take too long to drain.
Finally, the tools I used: Long tweezers, several screwdrivers, pliers for the pump clamps seen in the video, and DO NOT FORGET TO LAY THE WASHER ON A TOWEL!
I HOPE THIS HELPED! PLS COMMENT YOUR EXPERIENCE & SUBSCRIBE

You should go In from the top and remove the basket then remove what you need plus makes it easier to remove everything plus you can manually clean the washer.

More thorough and probably faster to do it from the top. Take drum out (lil process but not bad) then the filter cover is 2 screws

That process is intense! The drum is almost impossible to take out without the proper tools! I've used hangers to fish out rags, socks, and gloves. It's a hassle honestly.

Maybe I should have included this in the video; the debris are knotted and that's where the clogging issues come in. Thin scissors would help to cut some of the hair and string. Thanks for commenting USMC PATRIOT

Hello- This is the bottom of my washer. Thanks for your comment, it is important to let KZreadrs know what exactly we could improve within our videos. If your washer has water inside do your best to scoop/shop-vac the remaining water out before you lay it on its face. Then, lay a towel and get some help to make the process less strenuous! Once the washer is down the battle is just beginning haha I would suggest you wear cloth (gardening) gloves to keep your delicate hands from being pinched and scraped as you remove those pesky clamps! From there? I literally found an entire sponge shredded in this exact draining hole MONTHS AFTER THIS VIDEO! So look out! Rugs, Sponges, Socks, pretty much ANYTHING can irritate our dear Top Load Whirlpool Cabrio Washers. 9 out of 10x YOU DO NOT NEED TO MAKE A PURCHASE. THE ANSWER IS WITHIN THE WASHER. Especially if the washer is still in good shape. GOOD LUCK! LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES!

I had the same problem. You lay the washer down on its back and work from underneath, I took the back off of mine only to find a white drum. It's under the washer. Good luck.
