    @@nicksutton5579 the main issues that people took with him were more in a "grey area" of the rules as he was ofteb responding to attempts to act within a "grey area" to begin with, or in this video's case, an act of parliament that was actually illegal. Technically politicised, depending on your definition but still within the rules of parliament.

    Alpine78 a referendum ia not a vote. It is in not way legally binding, it is merely the government asking a question. We have a 'representative democracy' where we elect MPs to act on our behalf. Even if they go against what we want. They act on what they believe is our best interest. So what they are doing is ENTIRELY democratic. Pick up a politics book and educate yourself on what a 'representative democracy' is.

    I have no idea why people write negatively about the British parliament. I personally really like all the unruliness and openness of it's members, but at the same time a wish to adhere to the fundamental principles and traditions.     It's a tradition, albeit a silly one, for the Speaker to be physically manhandled *into* his chair when appointed to his position, to express that the MPs *really* want him there or something. Labour MPs are, weirdly enough, following parliamentary convention in expressing their protest at him stepping down.

    As someone from a another country of the EU, I really don‘t know how to react anymore. Brexit is a mess. While I‘m tired of this never ending story, I still feel utterly sorry for what is happening in and to the UK. It is like watching your close friend running into knives in slowmo, but you know that there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

    As a foreigner I am pretty clueless about what is going on in this video. It is quite entertaining though esspecially mr. Bercow.
