It’s just not true, Utd had many cases where Fergie was told of players on nights out. The players knew if anything occurred that it would get back to fergie. I'm glad how honest he is when he says all of this is a small price to pay for being a footballer, The price you pay is unbelievably small in the grand scheme of things. For normal people, Raising a fammily is a much bigger price to pay, When you have a child for normal working people, Thats 10 grand a year out of the working wages gone, No more lavish holidays, No more new car every few years, No more big treats, no more going out for meals when you feel like it, The price these pay is so small in comparison to that of normal people trying to raise a fammily, Money makes things much more easier, and thats the fact of it. We've come into a era of 'feel sorry for the celebrity with millions of pounds', Glad someone like Scott knows the facts of things.

Agree with you. McTominay will find himself at the end of his career in his 30s with millions in the bank, hopefully other assets he has invested sensibly in, and a lot of life to lead. If he can avoid serious injury he will have a fantastic life by comparison with 99.99% of his peers. I don't feel sorry for him or any other top flight footballer. Watching look and then run into that open space he was the first to see that and the finish sublime. So any one who says any difference in play only need look at before the oppositions goalie looks at the ball and follow his run. magic. First time I've heard him speak. Tbh as an Arsenal supporter i expected him to be scowling and inarticulate like Scholes or Rooney at that age. Or at best just the typical dull monotone footballer. Never ever expected him to be such a bright and likeable guy. Might make a great pundit in future.

O’Shea, Brown, Fletcher etc United always had these players that aren’t starting quality but are good people, personalities and came through the youth system and understand the club. All big game players too. The people who wanna get rid are clueless. You need these characters in your squad, not as starters but just as rotation and back up options. His wages are insignificant compared to anybody else’s especially considering he’s our top goalscorer this year lmao, he’s homegrown and it costs us nothing to keep him in the squad. The 30-40m we would get for him can’t replace what he brings to the team.
