Scott Bonnar - Model 45 - Teardown Part 5 - Rear Roller Disassembly

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I disassemble the rear roller. Be extremely careful if you attempt to do the same as Cast iron will break easily if under stress by high impacts.

Thanks heaps for the video, I’d been putting off tearing down my rollers for fear of breaking them. Followed your technique and they came apart.

I’ve never had the wagon wheels pop off that easily, you must have the magic 🪄 touch.

I really think cleaning that lip with a pick is key..

I just tried this method on the rollers off 2 mowers, both came out as easily as in this video, one was very heavily rusted too

I’ve never had this method fail me.. I really think the key is cleaning that lip with a pick or wire wheel.. 👍

I’ve been following your videos to pull my mower apart and have found that the bearings are completely shot. I’ve rang my local bearing shop and they say it’s an unusual size and was made by Anthony’s Bearings Melbourne, who aren’t around anymore, where is the best place to get the bearings from ? Cheers 🍻

Hey Mate, You’re correct, The rear roller bearings are an unusual size, in fact I am yet to find any bearing to replace it.. However it is common practice when restoring these to use a standard bearing with an outer sleeve.. You can buy these from Mowpartsoz.com.au or eBay has a few people selling them also..
