Scientists put a giraffe gene into mice! Here's what happened.

Scientists used CRISPR to put giraffe-specific mutations into a mouse gene... And what happened probably isn't what you expect. But it helped us learn about some of the adaptations that let giraffes have such spectacularly long necks!

    Very cool. I was guessing longer neck. The BP effect is super cool and could lead to new ways to control BP in humans??? Thanks for sharing. Do you have a video fo CRISPR?

    Not sure we could control BP in humans with this because genetically modifying all of the cardiovascular cells necessary to have the impact would be challenging (impossible) given current tools. I don't have a video for CRISPR... yet :)
