I love the idea of running these guys as a tech gang rather than mutated. So the massive claw is now a power claw, the two heads is one of their two guns on a robot arm on their back, or eye stalks is a shoulder mounted camera

Man, I just converted up a Heretek too, if he’s a mutant then they all get the bennies

Sounds like a cross between Spyrers and Pitslaves. I approve.
I haven't been this excited since the venators release. Any ruleset that allows and encourages you to kitbash and convert your minis is fantastic!
Dayum, that is fast ;-)

I don't mess around 🤣
Was waiting for this! I would need to play against them to say for sure, but I am really digging the diversity in the list. A horde of mutants with all different mutations would be great fun to face down.
Soooooooo make the Abomination Of Badzone 12 your outcast leader and give it your favorite mutation?
Definitely some under-costed options (10 creds for +1W?!), but certainly love the flavor. I still hope to see a full Scavvies list eventually but this is a good stand-in. Scaly Skin + Vast Bulk would make for good Scalies.

Hail all
🔥🔥🔥
Aaaaaand I’ve found a good online STL mutie kit :)
How cool is that. We were just talking about the Outlanders a few days ago.
They should have made these available for Chaos Cultists. For modelling and because they can use the boost.
You gonna put together a band of grim dark, kronenburg, john blanche, 2000AD muties? Would love to see em if you do!

It's funny, I was already onto a band of xenos cold traders, but now must make muties too

@@wellywoodwargaming would love to see both tbh. I can imagine muties as a good gm gang to just throw in against anyone running away with the campaign. Having them appear to sack a settlement desperate and hungry or kidnap hostages or people to be sold into the pits. Could make a really strong and flavourful gang!
You know what would be nice to have with these rules? A remake of the Chaos Mutation Sprue.
Damage 1 toxin weapons?!
The new rules are... interesting. What interests me even more if there are new miniatures that soon to follow. These ability descriptions sound way too specific to be just imaginary features. If we get the new mutant miniatures for Necromunda, for sure we will get the Lost and the Damned for 40K.

I'd like a mutation pack that's compatible with scum etc 😁
Could you make a list when you get the chance? Would love to see what you would run!

Definitely
I love to see it. I do think Outcasts needed a boost, while the characters and potential equipment options can be very strong, Hive Scum are pretty sub-par and it'll be nice to have the option to spice them up with some more unique flavor.
I quite like these mutations. They may seem undercosted compared to the blatantly overcosted value increases from advancing stats like S, T, W and A, but when compared with mechanics like Gene-smithing, they are roughly equivalent. That said, I am most excited/tempted to add 'mutations' to a campaign focused on chaos/gene-stealer corruption or in a highly toxic environment, where any gang may 'suffer' random mutations...
I think the fact that they only cost crefits if a scum is starting as a mutant, where as champions and leaders dont buy them with credits but have to spend primary skills exp on these means you should look at all these mutations as 'skill equivilents', which makes most of these kinda bad by compairson. This is not stopping me from building my beastman gang with this ruleset, just food for thought on why this is probably less powerful in general to just buying skills.
im very new to this game and this seems like it is the most amazing thing ever for kit bashing! how restrictive is it to be an unaffiliated outcast gang?
I'm just hoping this doesn't replace a proper Scavvies release.

@@wellywoodwargaming now we just need the scavvies gang 😁
I'm sorry to say this, but many people probably don't even know or have forgotten what the Scavvies looked like and what they were in the first edition of Necromunda. What GW has now released are some mutant rules for the Outcast gang which, aside from mutations, have little to do with the Scavvies. I managed to transfer the Scavvies rules to the new edition and we shared this book on Facebook groups. These are the real Scavvies, not outcast GW mutants

Well don't be sorry mate, I'm well aware 👍
I've got mixed feelings on this one. On the one hand, it's great to have official-ish rules for mutant gangs. On the other, the odds that we'll ever see a "proper" scavvy gang release just plummeted. This more than anything else makes me think that, going forward into the post-Aranthian Succession landscape, GW's support for Necromunda will be minimal at best.

I'd agree, it doesn't look like we'll see anything more than this regarding mutants
I can only hope that they do similar with Ratskins
