This is so scary. I'm sorry that you were left to deal with this at home and that the hospital didn't help you initially. I'm so happy that you are able to be home now and are seeing some improvements.

My heart breaks for you and your family. What you have been going through is so unfair. You’ve been so strong and lovely through it all even when you told us how you didn’t feel strong. I’m so happy and thankful you are okay and survived but I’m so sorry new things and complications have come your way. My fingers are crossed that you have some wins in the near future. Just remember we internet strangers care for you through the good and bad and wish you all the best because we believe you deserve it!

How are people supposed to get help when doctors are assholes (sorry but they are) and don't listen to what they are telling you. A severe migraine is a sign of a impending stroke!!!!! Seriously you have been through enough. I am so very sorry they didn't listen to you and take you seriously. I am so angry right now. I know we don't talk or anything but I care about you a lot. I mean. I can see why, it's quite unusual for a woman her age to have a stroke. there is a bias against women and age in the medical field, they didn't want to check my breast lumps or biopsy my cervix because young women "don't get cancer" HOWEVER this is not excuses. The medical system needs to change! They need to look at the patient as a whole regardless of age and sex. I can just see why she was dismissed because I've been there. This shit needs to change like 10 F**KIN YEARS AGO ya know?

@@xxFragileBirdxx I have Fibromyalgia. It is so misunderstood that only "older women" can get it when in fact it can be cause by trauma. I was born face up. You are supposed to be born face down and my face got crushed on the way out so day one I have had it. I am 27 and I diagnosed myself with it in April. Luckily I have 3 very good doctors that confirmed it. I wouldn't wish Fibro on anyone. Funny how I almost died at my own hand at 14 because I was always so miserable and didn't know why. Numerous doctors have failed me and it really shouldn't be that way.

@@JuicyPricklePeach I can relate to that, since I was born with something called hypermobile type Ehlers Danlos syndrome. It's very similar to fibromyalgia, is also poorly understood by doctors, and for a couple of decades I had been misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia. Who knew that having hyperflexible joints was a sign of a severe systemic health condition?

I’m so sorry! I had the same thing happen to me a couple years ago. Bad headaches, puking, seizures and then had a stroke. Doctors did nothing but send me home every time I went to the ER. It sucks so bad. It was a good 6 months before things started to go back to “normal” for me and my gastroparesis and Pots stopped flaring. I’m praying for a quick recovery and that you feel better! I know how awful it can be.

My family has had a lot of issues with doctors acting like we are crazy or that we are just trying to get pain meds unnecessarily. It makes illnesses so much harder to go through. I am so glad you made it through the stroke and seizures. I must admit that hearing you laugh about the bowel prep was really nice. Its been awhile since we've heard that good genuine laugh from you. It would be great if you could get someone in your family to write a post on your facebook,instagram, etc.... to let us know you are having a hard time and could use some encouragement and/or prayers if you are comfortable with that. Just a thought😉

I have some ptsd due to things that have happened to me medically and I think talking to a therapist would help, i just hope you remember to take care of your mental health too. 💜 you are beautiful and a rock star for making it through. I know how hard our lives can be and the pain we go through makes no sense at times but you are a warrior and are strong. Hi Hannah. I'm so sorry that you had to suffer a stroke in order for these doctors to know your migraines were really bad. Migraines are nothing to mess with. Im glad you're back at home now. Will be praying 🙏 so you can get your strength back.

I did the prep with that same stuff in January. It was a total disaster... the pharmacy gave me a bitch of a time trying to get a hold of it and kept trying to convince me I could just use another one of the prep options. I had to fight them and kept saying “ this is what my doctor prescribed, so I don’t understand why your arguing with me”. I eventually got it.The copay was $60 and then I vomited the second I finished the first bottle🙈 It has the texture of syrup and that fake sugar aspartame taste is beyond nasty. Gad to see your home and tending in a good direction ♥️

I'm so sorry about this horrific experience. What a nightmare. It certainly doesn't help that you can't even trust your medical professionals. That is extremely disconcerting. Did you ever undergo the colonoscopy? I was wondering if they were able to figure out why you're so anemic. I certainly hope you are recovering well. You deserve a break. It's been one bad thing after another.

Yes, I did have the scope but unfortunately they didn't find the cause of bleeding. They are thinking now with the stroke that it's all related to an autoimmune clotting disorder but I have to go through all of the testing still. Thanks so much, it truly means a lot 💗💗

In case this helps anyone: my prep starts with clear liquids only 3 days prior and 2 biscodyl and a dose of Miralax every 8 hours for those 3 days. I kept phosphosoda down but it didn’t do enough. I injured my neck throwing up GoLightly. Sorry to hear about the stroke.

They gave me an nj tube to put the prep thru cuz I would throw it up too.... the nj tube worked great

Have you tested for SIBO? Is something doctor won’t test for and can cause worsening of dismotility and malabsorption. Most accurate way to test would be a methane and hydrogen lactulose breath test 3 hours, anything else will be less accurate. Plus us dealing with gastroparesis more likely to develop SIBO so testing would be beneficial and is a simple test.

Oh, Hannah.. 🙁 I want to give you a huge hug. HOW did you have a stroke? Weren't they monitoring your blood pressure?? Please update us more when you can, but just recover for now. You need to rest and take as much time as needed for yourself and do not stress! ❤️

The type of stroke I had isn't the "normal" type and they said it's from an underlying clotting disorder. I had gone off of my blood thinners for a few days for the colonoscopy which is when is most likely happened. Thank you so so much, it truly means a lot to me 💗💗💗

With pots I know blood flow can be poor. Idk if pots caused this but it might have contributed to it. Those types of strokes are usually found in people with underlying diseases. Did you have any worse then usual leg pains or anything else weird besides the headache?
