Sawmill Build In 20 Minutes Or Less
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This is the band sawmill I built in 2018. I used rectangular tube and angle iron for the trailer, motorcycle wheels as band wheels and 420 ccm industrial gasoline engine as a power source. I did mount an electric motor on it as the primary power source but I never got around to properly install it so I ended up using the internal combustion engine only. The build price was around 800 EUR back then and it paid for itself pretty quickly. I milled all the lumber needed for the workshop you currently see in the videos with OSB walls. The trees were cut down in my own forest. One reason for uploading this conclusive video is that many people don't have time or just don't want to watch the whole series from start to finish. The main reason is that I sold this mill in February this year and wanted to celebrate this project one last time. Watching through the original footage brought back alot of memories, was quite amusing and inspiring, even for me myself. I hope you find inspiration from it as well. However, this is not going to be the last sawmill built in my workshop/barn. A new plan is in the making and once it's ripe it'll see the sunlight in front of your eyes as a new project series. Stay tuned for future videos (4x4 UTV will be finished soon) and thanks for watching!

Hi Bart, happy to see you here! Take care and stay healthy and greetings to Tulsa.
That was slicker than two Estonian eels in a bucket of elbow grease! Nice job!
And I ask myself everytime: Where the hell do you get all the idea's for this practical solutions 💪. In my opinion this is genius and quality work.
Yeah this guy can make , build or fabricate anything . I think he's one of those genius young people .
Absolutely one of the best fabrication videos ever, amazing work. Thanks for sharing.
Really glad to see people being able to build what ever is on their mind. Enjoyed every step of the video 👌
Really enjoy watching you repurpose scrap items into useful tools.
You never cease to amaze me in your ability to design and execute your builds. Quite the craftsman!
Those jacks you whipped up are absolutely fantastic!!!
I watched this build from the start and liked all the info and your workmanship. I built a mill in 1995 that cost me $1500; that cuts a 36 inch x 22 foot log. I did buy 25 inch sheaves for band wheels, and uses a 16 Hp Kohler engine. I did have most of 1.5 and 2 inch box tube given me that saved me a lot of money. Will be waiting for your new mill build.
Always a joy to watch you work !! The fabrication skills and lathe skills are amazing ....everything is amazing !! What a saw mill !! WOW !! Great build as always !! 👍👍
Great memories! That is the project where I found your channel!!
Wow. I thought I was good at building stuff until I watched this. Holy smokes. That was sweet. Worked beautifully.
Классная пилорама получилась!
Impressive! Love how you reuse parts from all sorts of things, and have a great eye to see what those old parts can be used for. It’s very creative and super useful. Oh, and to fit all that in a 20 minute video… nicely done!
I remember when you made your first cuts on that mill. I was so impressed. Still am.
Only The Donn could build an awesome sawmill in 20 minutes or less. All others will break down and weep in defeat. All hail the great Donnster.
Nice rig! Reminds me of why I hate living in town now... Lol!
Like always good hard work, and on times when price of wood are so big you have your own saw mill
I have seen a lot of people make a lot of stuff, and I have made a lot of stuff myself. The breadth of fabrication and mechanical understanding and skill, and level of ingenuity you have is quite remarkable. I have a lot of respect for you! Fantastic work!
A true joy to watch a craftsman in action. Your skills and abilities are an encouragement for others to try.
very, very, very good work, once again very professional ............. friendships

Hi Donn, WOW ! You blow me away. Seems to be working better than my 70K dollar sawmill. You're absolutely brilliant. To see a young man with your skills is so refreshing, we're in good hands. Thanks for the video, and keep being A W E S O M E ! ! !
Круто , руки золотые , не идеально но для себя самое то .
Nicely done!! Thumbs up!!
Nice to see your first Start to Finish video. I regret a little I didn't buy that from you 😀. One nice and useful project to remember and I'm waiting for your Swing-bade sawmill building series. Cheers mate! 🍻

You're so professional and I hope I could do it but it's not easy... love this job 👍👌

Комментарий в поддержку видео и канала, а также труда мастера.
Awesome build. I've used round tube instead of square receiver for the outrigger mount on my pickup truck crane. Then you can pull the pin and swivel without having to remove it. Great video
Great job 👍👍👍👍👍🔝🔝🔝👍👍👍👍🇩🇪
I was skeptical about the tracking on the pneumatic tires, amazing and inspiring work!
Мужик ты нереально крутой!!! Почет и уважение! Снимаю шляпу)))
I love your builds, you make them all look so easy. Now, I need one LOL Great video, cheers :)
You are pure Genius sir !!!!

Your fabrication skills are amazing
Very well thought out and very well documented. This will be the basis for my build should I choose to do so. Great job! Subscribed.
If this guy ever stops uploading without a word it’s because he caught that room on fire
Приветствую. Огонь.
This way better built than anything you can buy on the market right now
Nice job, I watched bits a pieces of the build but now saw the whole thing in 20 minutes. So cool how you even machined the pulleys. Starting to get cold here at night in Minnesota, won’t be long and we’ll be firing up the outdoor boiler.
That’s an impressive build. Well done.
My goodness! What a talent!
For a one-part build, this may be among my favorites so far. Much better than a number of other KZreadr's home built mills. Not as big as Matt Cremona and April Wilkerson's mills though :)
Когда увидел цены на пиломатериалы)
Красавчик! Золотые руки у тебя!
You are a wonderful mechanic! The design of the sawmill is very common, but you have special features - water for cooling the cutting blade and an original clutch mechanism for the belt drive. Great details, high class. It's very nice to look at your work! Good health and good luck to you!
Best KZread vid I’ve seen in a long time.
Slicker than snot on a glass door knob!
I tip my hat to you 🎩. You and others like you are the true engineers of the world. Continue utilizing every brain cell you have to design and manifest all the great ideas in your mind. Excellent creative work. 👍🏼
Best build I have ever seen. Great video
Here you go again, probably bring out the you shouldn’t do this and that folks. That’s okay cause we know you did not burn anything down. Glad to see this version too but I would suggest to all to view the complete build. You did a great job. Thanks for sharing with us, Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻✋🏻✋🏻
it was lovely to watch, you have so many skills....thank you
Amazing skill and creativity
Beautiful Job, I believe I will build one too! Thank You !!!!

Good idea to make a short version of this👍🏻 Thanks!
Wow, from winter to summer in 20 minutes!
A worn out Woodmizer would cost $10-15k and probably wouldn't cut as straight. A lot of work went into that. Very well done.
When I saw the title, I thought you were saying you built the sawmill in 20 minutes! Nice piece of work and very entertaining. The timbers you got out of it was pretty special too.
Love it very cool
Awesome build young man. Keep it up.
You must not sleep much for I believe your always thinking about projects 24/7! Great video! Ačiū pone!
Я сначала не понял. Зима что ли к ДОНУ пришла о_О. А потом смотрю не. Сарай то еще не отремонтирован)))
Awesome job
Absolutely brilliant and good job

Блин, смотрю все какое-то советское, до боли знакомое. Вроде все на английском... А потом вижу, чувак из Эстонии, ну значит практически прав был) Канал классный!
I half expected to see a standard pedal bike saddle on top of this! ;o) As always .... Exceptional!
Very well thought out. Nice work
Awesome video! I need to make one for my new farm !!!
Nice build, this is definitely a good design and will be usefull all along your life !
