Sawmill Build In 20 Minutes Or Less

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is the band sawmill I built in 2018. I used rectangular tube and angle iron for the trailer, motorcycle wheels as band wheels and 420 ccm industrial gasoline engine as a power source. I did mount an electric motor on it as the primary power source but I never got around to properly install it so I ended up using the internal combustion engine only. The build price was around 800 EUR back then and it paid for itself pretty quickly. I milled all the lumber needed for the workshop you currently see in the videos with OSB walls. The trees were cut down in my own forest. One reason for uploading this conclusive video is that many people don't have time or just don't want to watch the whole series from start to finish. The main reason is that I sold this mill in February this year and wanted to celebrate this project one last time. Watching through the original footage brought back alot of memories, was quite amusing and inspiring, even for me myself. I hope you find inspiration from it as well. However, this is not going to be the last sawmill built in my workshop/barn. A new plan is in the making and once it's ripe it'll see the sunlight in front of your eyes as a new project series. Stay tuned for future videos (4x4 UTV will be finished soon) and thanks for watching!

I watched this build from the start and liked all the info and your workmanship. I built a mill in 1995 that cost me $1500; that cuts a 36 inch x 22 foot log. I did buy 25 inch sheaves for band wheels, and uses a 16 Hp Kohler engine. I did have most of 1.5 and 2 inch box tube given me that saved me a lot of money. Will be waiting for your new mill build.
