Savar or Paladin? Which is better? | Age of Empire 2

Since, I've posted the resent video about which civ has the best paladins, there were few comments claiming that Savar is better and it wasn't treated equally to paladin. So I thought we should take a deeper look between the Savar and the Paladin and try to figure out which is better. But first we must find which's civs Paladin we are going to use. A generic fully upgraded one or one with bonuses? I think it is fair to say that we should use generic paladins, although only 3 civs, the Magyars, the Spanish and the Huns, out of 10 have a generic fully upgraded paladin. Nevertheless let's try the fully upgraded paladin version without any bonuses just for the sake of the test.
What are you thoughts?

Savar actually got 4 bonus damage against archer, cause one can only do savar with Persians and it's 2 from savar and 2 from Persian team bonus

only thing is higher attack speed probably ended up helping kill leitis much faster which is important because of the huge dlmg leitis does with each hit to high armored units! so paladins tankiness is worth less than savars slightly higher attack rate here

Maybe faster attack and more melee armor

@@antoniomele4830 you're right. Forgot about that. The fact is that I did many repeats of these battles so I get relevant results.. I have to take a look what's wrong. Can't be because of the faster attack alone..

Same with the Leicai. Did several tests though and the outcome was almost the same.

It is stated at the beginning of the video, Magyars, Spanish and Huns(although they have faster creation time)

They had the Latinikon, a cavalry army of Normans, Franks and British mercenaries if I remember correctly, so Paladins are fine I think.

Byzantines have cataphracts, which are their irl response to Persian heavy cavalry.
Doesn't the savar produce Gold when killing stuff?

Some day in the past it did but not anymore, right when savar got into the game, they tried to buff Persians but that was too much and got removed fast

The way they compare is different and I think SOTL just got inspired by a video of demon, I recently watched demon comparing condottiere and SOTL released a video about them

30 vs 25 fight is completely meaningless, not only is it not balanced by numbers, its not even balanced by resources. Also the garbage engagement by the leitis is questionable, not sure what kind of narrative you're interested in spreding, but misinformation gets a 'do not recommended' from me.

30 vs 25 is equal resources. They're numbers based on resources, it is not my opinion. If you don't like it go argue with math. The "garbage" engagement is because of poor pathing of the the ai and works for both sides so it's pretty fair despite being "unentertaining". But I can't fix bad pathing, why blame me? Also keep in mind that I repeat many times the tests before posting them so the outcome is realistic.
