Thanks for this - it’s been awhile since anyone had posted anything recent Sasaki stuff. I hope to see him return. PS - I think his newaza exchange with Casse was worth a highlight 😅

My theory is that he abused steroids and that caused him problems. Yeah gear on judo is a thing.
I like the chocke you put in the pinned comment a lot,seem scary but it is completly safe,30 seconds and you are at 100% again no problem,i'm a a pass out before a tap out type of judoka so happen to me a lot in the dojo,nothing to be worry about

He's from Tsukuba, along with the Tanaka brothers, Tajima, Horikawa, and Nagase.

Knee injury based on his reaction to the aftermath of his match with Nagase in Tokyo back in 2022.
It’s sad he has the potential to beat world champions. But he seems to just not have a good day in the selection tournaments in japan.

I heard from a reliable source that he has a very difficult time with Nagase. This may be a stylistic issue. I really enjoy Sasaki's brand of Judo.
