This song literally saved my life. My husband of 16 years left me, he wouldn't admit it but I know it was for another woman who he's still with now, 8 years later. This song reminded me that I mattered, I was important and that nobody else could value my worth more than I could. I moved on, I did it. I established my own life on my own, and now at the mention of his name I cringe. I can't believe I gave my life to somebody that so easily tossed me aside after building our life together. A month ago my wife and best friend, the absolute love of my life, tossed me away like I was yesterday's trash...and she did it via text message, then blocked me. 23 yrs together and she didn't even have the decency or respect to tell me in person. She was my everything, my reason for living -so I need not tell you how bad it hurt. Up until a couple days ago I barely had the will to get out of bed each morning. But that's slowly changing. Why do many guys seem to be such jerks? I'm a guy myself, and I wonder why I don't treat my wife better than she deserves to be treated. Seems like women are much more tolerant than are men, although there are certainly exceptions. I don't want to paint a broad brush here and get too stereotypical. But face it, guys, we can do better. We need to be more selfless. We need to be more tender. We need to be more appreciative. I am working hard on that in my own marriage. I find myself lucky that my wife has put up with me for 41 years. Maybe I am being too hard on myself if our marriage has lasted that long, but I still feel like I don't treat her well enough. I will keep trying.

Well, nothing wrong with that advice. As hard as I have tried, I still mess up. There is always room for improvement. I think that realizing that is the important first step. I think many guys have an attitude of "I'm fine the way I am." No, you're not. So, I try to take my wife's criticisms not as nagging, but as constructive. She has a much more realistic view of the real me than I do. So I take her criticisms to heart and try to change. Not just to please her, but just to become a better man.

You know, one of the things that drives me about how to treat my wife is this passage from the Bible, Philippians 2:3-4 - " Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." One of the keys to a stable marriage is the willingness to sacrifice. To be selfless. That's what I strive for.

Veronica Trinidad this is so true, my ex didn't want to fight for us, i tried to get him to understand that I want to try and fix us, because when you love someone u try 2 workout your problems not just call it quits, but i believe he didn't love me enough 2 work it out. it's only been a week since we broke up. Man This woman voice and way she interprets a song is amazing and listening to her voice is as if listening to her for the very first time ever , favorite entertainer probably ever .

I remember listening to this song 9-10years ago after i met my man's first wife. All the mixed emotions. I felt jealous of her. I felt sorry for her. I felt proud to have him. A decade later, im not proud anymore.

I can most definitely understand and appreciate how this beautiful message can land home to so many women. However there are men that are also subjected to emotional abuse “yours truly”. And just want to say that this song has definitely given me the strength that I need to get through a difficult marriage. It’s sung so beautifully and carries so much strength. Thank you for this.

We had a Christian marriage 39 years, but the last 10 years my wife has refused help for alcohol, pills, depression,grief, anxiety and lack of motivation. I went into counseling 8 years ago to try to fix it. I hate change and have tried everything I can to save and fix this mess. Now I must be free and live. I told her about 6 weeks ago. It should all be wrapped up by April. I honestly feel like the biggest weight has been lifted off my shoulders. And I can walk away with a clear conscience. Also, the verbal abuse was awful. Seeing her wiped out wasted has been very sad.

This song has been my rock... My fiance after beautiful 8 years left me once again.. He left me the first time after four years for greener grass then came back and I had my arms open wide. Four years later he leaves again for GREENER GRASS, this passing April fools day he dumped me and packed up and halled ass back to his home town, leaving me with the rest of his stuff he said i could keep or in remembrance of him, telling me its not you its me, telling me he is broken. IM seriously done hoping that we will work it out because its been 29 days since the break up and to be honest I have never felt more alive... I dont feel the stress of his pain or walking on egg shells around him. I love him so much despite all the rocky roads, and pain but I love him enough to let him go.

Your husband sounds like my father.....I am a male. Bullshit. There are some things that are unforgivable and you do not have to forgive. What you have to do is learn to put those memories in a place where they don't affect you negatively and in fact can help you in remembering what NOT to do.

My daughter played this for me, helped me get over my narcissistic cheating husband. Totally took advantage of me in every sense of the word. Took some time for me to get over all the hurt & pain he caused me. But then i met my current fiance who loves me beyond every sense, feeling & emotion. Miraculous Is MyWorld, I do believe honey that you are going to be that strong, reliable woman who is going to be there for everybody. Just seeing how fiercely independent you already are and you are only 11, you've got what it takes. How do I know this without ever having met you, because you sound just like me at that age. But you do need to quit selling yourself short. I'm certain that there are plenty of people who see how amazing you are and love you to the moon and back. I care!!!!! Being strong has nothing to do with resisting a man (sorry guy's) and Fairytales don't exist, they really don't.....the fact that "Miraculous Is My World" is who you chose to go by, speaks volumes. Never ever tell anyone on here your age, there are really sick and not so nice people in the world that belong too.

I just got broken up with while 7000 miles away deployed in the Middle East. There goes my heart and 3 years.
