As a child, my parents never allowed any of us to sleep over anywhere besides home, my mom would always accompany us into public bathrooms as well. I am so grateful to them today, at the time I used to think they were being annoying, but today I understand. A few years later, my mom told me that she was molested as a child and it made her extremely protective of her children because she never wanted us to experience abuse. I think it's important to be cautious and not trust anyone with your kids, even with people that are "close" to you, even family members unfortunately

Same thing with me. My dad refused to let any of us go to sleepovers, and was always careful about never letting us be alone with men, even if they were uncles. His older sister had been molested by their step-father. I get it and I am supremely grateful to my parents for their protection. I will do the same with my little daughter.

What kind of delusional thinking makes someone loyal to a football coach? All the ones I saw thru school were either very questionable in the Sandusky way or just plain old didn't have time for anyone who wasn't on the sports team. I walked away from that the day the coach was yelling at me for something stupid, and I had to tell him that I knew he needed me to make him look good more than I needed him to get into college. Wow did he get mad.

@@clydebarrows3889 Paterno's football program brought in lots of money to State College, PA--$30 million to $40 million a year. Lots of people depend on that money for nice jobs, nice incomes, nice houses, nice cars. I think that's where their loyalties lay--not wanting to lose their perch on the gravy train. And that's why they hated this kid's guts, as he was threatening their gravy train. Penn State ultimately had to cough up about $110 million in settlement money when all of this was set and done. Lots of people probably lost their jobs for Penn State to pay this big nut.

Everyday young boys shower along side grown men in the YMCA and there is nothing sexual about it. Back in the 1960's when we had PE in high school when we had pool we swam in the nude, the entire class. No swim trunks were provided. Thats just the way things were back then.

Not because of psu, just because its WRONG. How many kids from the ymca were raped? We probly will never know because supposedly it was the norm. Right and Wrong no matter what year or decade shld make no diffrence. We all know this.

I just came across this video after watching HBO's Paterno. I have read the Freech Report and the grand jury indictment. It is clear to me that Sandusky had inappropriate sexual contact with this brave young man and several others. It is also clear that lots of adults, other than this young man's mother, did not do everything they could to protect children. The entire situation is tragic and sad. I applaud this young man for finding the courage to stand up against someone who held a lot of power over him, his school, and his community. It had to be very difficult, I hope he is still doing well today.

In elementary school my then teacher ( I am 39 now) never at least to my knowledge abused us in terms o sexual penetration, but he forced us to shower while he watched. It was because he "wanted to make sure" we cleaned ourselves after gym class. Twentysome years later I understand that what happened was in fact pedophilia, and I still suffer from the aftermath; let alone the kids that were physically abused. It's really not a joke.

Dawn Fisher (Aaron’s mother) used to live in welfare housing in Lock Haven PA. Her former next door neighbor at the time these allegations surfaced in 2008 went on the record in an interview to help bring the truth to light. He said after Aaron and his mother got into an argument about Aaron going out with Jerry Sandusky Aaron said very vaguely “he made me feel weird” Dawn Fisher then told her next door neighbor “I’m going to own that motherfuckers house” referring to Jerry Sandusky Now does that sound like something the mother of a sexual abuse victim would say right after hearing her son was abused? This was all about money from the beginning for both of them. Aaron fisher changed his story several times and after a couple years of seeing a therapist who used the debunked repressed memory therapy he settled on 100 instances of oral sex. Sandusky is innocent because if Aaron fisher lied there’s no way any of the other “victims” who came forward to collect millions of dollars are even remotely credible.
