have you ever thought of doing a large predatory tank? I have never seen any good educational videos on predatory tanks and fish. Like eels, lions, hawks, etc.

Been afraid to add one of these for awhile due to their food requirements. Do you think there is a minimum tank size & sand depth to consider before adding one ?

Ryan, your tanks have 2 overflows, but it looks like only 1 of them (the left side) is plumbed for each tank. Can you explain the setup of the right side overflow for the tanks?

I have a banded cat shark in my tank with clown fishes. Do you think it'll be a big mistake to have a sand sifting starfish in the same tank?.

I just let up a saltwater tank... im a newbie to saltwater. I added sand.. but we added a lot. Id say 5-6 inches deep. I am looking into what I should add to help keep it sifted and churned. Its a new tank and I am a newbie like I said.. so looking for some beginner friendly.

Thank you for your video. I actually have three sand Stars two are very active in getting the sand but one just sits on a top of live rock near where I have the air pump and water circulating and hardly moves. I don't know what he's eating and I don't know why he doesn't bury himself in the sand.

I just bought one today...the guy at the store said they will most likely come out at night every once in awhile...but not see it for a long time could be a cause for worry just make sure ur tank has enough algae for them...i bought one because i dont have the fancy equipment to run my tank so i get algae build up often but nothing crazy like hair algae so this starfish works for me.

not always, sometimes for captive bred they do, in tropic locations, low tide comes early in morning, sand sifting sea stars exposed to air on the sand bar ( still wet sand, their body is exposed to air for couple hours or so) , you can pick up hundreds of them, in the wild they find a way to adapt to this.
