Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass - Bruno Schulz
Bruno Schulz was a Polish Jewish writer and artist whose life and career were cut short when he was murdered by a Gestapo agent in 1942. He left behind some truly masterful works of subtle surreality. This is the title story to a 1937 collection, unfortunately his last.

Also check out this channel. They have some fantastic readings of Schulz, far better than my fumblings: / @davidherling680
Isn't it too dreamy?

Your FUMBLINGS? I think not! I have just discovered you and I am so glad that I have. I have been listening to the spoken word since I was a baby, literally and believe me, I know bad voice acting and narrations when I hear them. Your voice is a dream to listen to and you are very discerning with the stories that you choose. Thanx so much for your channel!

I have mostly Jeff and Ann VanderMeer to thank for that in terms of this channel. Most I've what I've read on here comes for their collection "The Weird." It's a nearly inexhaustible resource.
One of my very favorite stories

Appreciate your readings, hope this comment finds you well.
Could we get some more Ligotti, or maybe some Lovecraft?

Definitely. I should have at least one new Ligotti up within a week. Stay tuned for Lovecraft. I plan on doing quite a few.
