Only halfway through did I realise that I’d actually listened to this ten years ago, all the way back in May 2009 on the Pod Castle fantasy podcast. Still a great work of surrealism; better than some of his more recent efforts I’d say.

I love your choices and your reading voice. Perfect. Other Vandermeer I think all would enjoy: Finch, Veniss Underground. And a collection of his stories which I THINK is entitled: The Fifth Bear.
