San Giovanni, Italy, Car Ferry to Messina, Sicily

We drove from Tuscany to Villa San Giovanni in Southern Italy to take the car ferry to Messina, Sicily. The drive was beautiful!! Touring the island and looking for my ancestors in Sicily! Cefalu is next on the tour!

Hi guys amazing video i hope your channel will grow the quality is great👍 short question: if i want to cross the sea from Villa San Giovanni to Messina, do i need to book a ticket earlier because i want to take my car to sicilly or is it possible to buy the ticket directly at the port? Thanks in advance:)

Thanks so much for the compliment on our channel! I am working hard doing my best to make this channel grow. Please subscribe if you have not already. As far as the fairy, we drove straight up and purchased the ticket right in line. I am currently not aware if you can purchase ahead, and I’m thinking maybe not currently due to Covid because I just checked online and you could not buy anything online at all. Tourism is still down really low in Europe, so I’m guessing if you drive up you can probably just purchased the ticket and hop right on with your car. Maybe do some more research online just in case, do you live in Italy or are you just visiting? Cheers, Marlene

Hi there! Very helpful video! Just wanted to ask, how frequent are the ferries? Are there a lot of different companies that offer ferries to choose from?

There's only 2 companies. One - more expensive - is the one in this video. The cheaper (state-run) company is Bluferries. Here how to get there: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p5uXlcePoLffoKg.html

@@MIkram-om4js Nope, Italy and Sicily are the same country so you don't need your passport, but you will probably need it to get a hotel if you need one. You might want to check with the hotel if needed. All hotels ask for your passport. Thanks for the subscribe!!! Cheers, Marlene
