This show has a special place in my animated series collection. I loved most of the episodes. I was there and ready every week for season five. I last episode had me deep in my feelings. Very few things on tv make me cry but this series finale. I have all 5 seasons and I can't bring myself to watch the last 5 minutes again. As an artist and a "connoisseur of cartoons", this is definitely one of the greatest cartoons of all time!!!

The_True Pharaoh I was happy for Jack although it isn’t the end. Genndy announced that Jack can be freely picked up by someone from where he left off if they want to give Jack another quest and new ending

Loved Samurai Jack! please do clone high and undergrads. both were really entertaining shows that only got 1 season but deserved much more.

Gotta get back. Back to the past. SAMURAI JACK.

Samurai Jack is one of the best animated series ever produced by Cartoon Network.I need to get the complete series on blu ray. Now, if we could only get Genndy to do an animated series featuring Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo. Somebody at Disney also needs to get Genndy to do another animated "Star Wars" series. That would be cool as well.

This. I like this video. I liked knowing more of the voice actors and their resùmes. Also seeing Mako again really was a big impact. No matter how many times he is mentioned. The feeling is the same. RIP Mako Iwamasu. Your voice will always be legendary in voice acting

Thato Mokhethi - Daredevil and X-men also played a part in the development of TMNT if I’m not mistaken. Teenage Mutant = X-men, Ninja = Daredevil. But I have no clue where the Turtle part came from.

I could be wrong, but it seemed to me that Samurai Jack introduced an animation style that influenced the Batman Cartoons that followed it, and I feel like it introduced American cartoons to combat in which the hero actually gets humbled from time to time. More human. But I was older too, so I can't say I knew all the cartoon happenings.

You and I are exactly the same age and I felt the same as you. I forced all my film industry friends to watch it on my PC after downloading the episodes off Napster. I even sat my bourgeoisie dad down to watch the Imakandi hunters episode and he was blown away by the iconography and storytelling. Coincidentally it debuted around the time I discovered Marijuana which may have played a part in its drawing my girlfriend and me in back in the day. To this day, I still bust out the Mako monologue and my impression is spot on, if I may say so myself. My Japanese wife cracks up a threatens to film me.

I would love to see a episode about Megas XLR but it probably will be a short one I guess

One of my favorite parts in the series was the 4 seasons of death: winter, no dialogue at all but the images alone told you everything you needed to know

They did, it took almost 14 years, and they ended it awesome.

I was 4 when I started watching Samurai Jack. I finally got the ending to the series when I was 17 (and going through my anime phase.) I'm now 19 and I'm awaiting the game that's being made to come out on PS4 and Nintendo Switch

I miss the good old days when kids TV was actually good enough to be enjoyed by adults. Now its just a bunch of stupid characters using horrible slang acting as stupid as possible. Hell look what they did to Teen Titans. I remember the first one not bad at all and kid of like a good super hero series now they got turned into absolutely ridiculous annoying characters with no depth at all just stupid comments over and over.
