Samurai Champloo (Japanese: サムライチャンプルー, Hepburn: Samurai Chanpurū) A young woman named Fuu is working as a waitress in a tea shop when she is abused by a band of samurai. She is saved by a mysterious rogue named Mugen and a young rōnin named Jin. Mugen attacks Jin after he proves to be a worthy opponent. The pair begin fighting one another and inadvertently cause the death of Shibui Tomonoshina, the magistrate's son. For this crime, they are to be executed. With help from Fuu, they are able to escape execution. In return, Fuu asks them to travel with her to find "the samurai who smells of sunflowers".

Maybe its obvious to say it but this work truly is a work of art to the fullest extent. For the time when it came out some of the music was so unique, and we're still catching on to it. Im so happy people are becoming more and more aware of Samurai Champloo and Nujabe's as well as other artists who were a part of the shows music.

Man... I haven't listened to this album for 12 years now. I was going out with my first girlfriend at the time, and had just discovered samurai Champloo at the start of our relationship, late spring/early summer. We were both anime fans. I was serving in a military base close to our home town, so every weekend pass I got, I'd go and see her. Her father was one of the coolest people I knew at the time, and in many ways the father I never had. I couldn't listen to this album anymore after she dumped me. She suggested I quit my service, since the middle east was a hot zone at the time. So I did, started job training in gastronomy. Aimed to become a restaurant manager or possibly opening my own place. But shortly after that, she left. It hurt so bad, listening to this, I couldn't forget her. Now I listen to this again, the algorithm just randomly suggesting it, and I remember all that, but I'm waiting with my wife for results of a pregnancy test. The space between 2 worlds... That's certainly how I feel right about now. Even without Samurai Champloo attached to it, this music is just so beautifully composed, it makes it timeless, and it fits me in any time of my life it seems. I wonder if it'll be so perfectly calming and relaxing once I actually have children.

Aruarian Dance actually samples parts of 'the lamp is low', which ITSELF samples parts of 'pavane pour une infante defunte'. I knew about Aruarian Dance before and when I first listened to pavane pour une infante defunte, I thought it was a just a coincidence that some parts sounded similar. Then later I found the part that connected it all together which was the lamp is low.

Everything about it is just a modern day classic it’s not even anime, it’s simply a perfect piece of art. I can watch a different anime and ya the scenes are good, but not as good as samurai or cowboy bebop or space dandy. So in middle school in started to dance, and in hs i met the homie sang-do and he saw me breaking(as little as i could) He asked if he could borrow my ipod to music in it for me to listen and dance to. and he put ALL, and i mean ALL of Nujabes music😭 I fell in love with music that next day, Sadly i had to stop dancing due to a car/bike accident the next year of hs, Of course id listen to him hear and there but YEARS later, i mean like a couple days ago :,( i started samurai champloo and every fucking episode has me in tears with its soundtrack😭the show is just fucking perfect, the editing , the illustrations, the opening, omg the closing😭 Timeless I just wanna say Thank You Nujabes😭🙏🏽 Love you, rest in peace
