    @PostMillenial Either is he. This video proved nothing. Anyone can learn to solder anything. I learned when I was 12 years old, maybe the language disillusioned his DIY video.? Maybe researching the best wireless charging might be the way to go? ✌️ Still, it pissed me off, every tool he has can build anything, but he mentions Time. Lots of time.

    Hi good day I need some advice I'm new to soldering I had the same issue with tab e. I did not change the port but I applied new solder to weaken connection on board where the port lays. The thing is when I plug the charger the battery symbol keeps blinking on and off. When I turn on the tab without the charging cord it's fine, if I plug the charger in while the tab is on it immediately cuts off. Could there be something wrong with the solder, is it possible that they're is a solder issue? Need advice

    Go with 400º, mid air flow. but pre-heat the board first!!! Also protect other components arround by using kapton tape or foil tape. Do circular motions around the connector, never leave the heat in one spot. Also add kapton tape on top of the conector plastics, because it might not be tolerant to hight temperatures.

  • @JptMan

    @JptMan

    4 жыл бұрын

    ya this depends with everybody ya you can go with 400 and you have to pre heat it dont just bring the heat first heat it slowly from far and bring it closer and closer but if you keep it there for too long it will burn the plastic inside the charging port so try to be quick this all depends on experience how long you have to keep the heat try it burn some dead boards to get hang of it

    They are not so different from laptops after all. Do the follow: 1) Also make sure the power bottom is working, sounds stupid but sometimes that's the issue. 2) Measure the output of your ps4 power supply, make sure you have all voltages. 3) Connect your multimeter to your PS4 voltage inputs, turn it on and see if voltage came on and off right away (my multimeter has the option of MAX Value, i set it there so i can see if there were something at some point) - if true, you have a board short 4) PS3 needed a 12V and 5V to power it up, if you are using a lab Power Supply, make sure you have all the voltages on PS4 ( i don't know which voltages you have on PS4, never opened one). 5) Search for blown fuses 6) Search for shorts without power on it (OFC) - each mosfet should be open from drain to source. the input of each power supply should not be shorted to GND 7) Turn it on and search 8) Follow the power lines, from input connectors and try to understand where they fail at some point. I don't know if it should be present some voltage at some power supply like on laptops you have 19V and 3v3. So having a schematic would be helpful, even if it were from a different model, at least you would understand what things are doing.

    That's basically an DC to AC converter back to DC. Since there are 2 mosfets, one is responsible for VCC line and the other is responsible for the GND line, when one of them is activated the other one is deactivated, on each circle they change status, by this, you are adding and absorbing current from the inductor, simulating an AC voltage, and an AC wave. The PWM is controlling each mosfet gates, so they can form this wave. Remember that since you are working with VCC and GND, the AC output wave will be above 0V, which will be filtered by the front capacitor, creating a perfect strait DC line again. Also you don't need a bridge rectifier to convert it back to DC, because the wave is above 0V, and the capacitor "cleans" it like if it were noise, so he acts like a "noise cancellation", in combination with the inductor (this part i'm not totally sure, anyone corrects me please) . So in short, the time of switching mosfets (PWM) creates the AC wave, and the inductor and the capacitor give an hand to create the output voltage. That's how magic works.

    If this is posted by "Electronics repair school", then God help the learner. No need to "heat up this tablet". All you you need to do is use a plastic pry. Not a metal one. Applying pressure on the bottom of the screen on the corners during prying with metal object may cause at least a crack on the glass digitizer or a bleed on the screen. When you pry, push down once and slid the pry around the perimeter of the tablet to release the back cover from the tablet. Always apply pressure on the plastic cover. One more thing. Have a soft rug underneath the tablet so that you will not scratch the glass surface, or even the plastic surface cover. Remember this is a customer's tablet, not the repair person's. As for the rest of the job, I stopped watching the video because I honestly am not impressed by this poster. Good luck.
