Well if you compare these two folding phones side by side the razor looks terrible. It's using a Snapdragon 710 which is lower mid-range at best, and the screen is made of a plastic that feels really plasticy compared to the Z Flip's plastic screen which feels much more like glass. The Razr also has subpar cameras and much worse dust resistance than the z flip. And the razor costs more than the Z flip. End of story, Z flip wins

And no, Jerry's test is not based on "Gorilla Glass" his tests is based on the *Mohs scale of mineral hardness* and that's why he use those picks to scratch stuff up.

I’m not 100% certain but I think the front of the Razr is glass as in another drop test I watched the panel over its outer display did crack just like glass 🤷🏻‍♂️ And I’m not going to be too surprised if the “flexible glass” in the Samsung isn’t actually glass and is more of marketing fluff I will wait to see how it will fair whenever Zack gets ahold of them If it’s actually glass it won’t scratch until a level 6 Any less and it’s just treated plastic Also hit lighter test might finally have an actual use! If it melts or distorts at all it isn’t actually glass (Real glass will melt, but at temperatures MUCH higher than a Bic lighter can even come close to lol) Also with these screen he should try a hard press test See if pressing the screen a bit harder (like as a 3D Touch type press) and see if that would damage the screen in these Never really an issue with modern smartphone phones until now Really looking forward to seeing how these will do, and see what is real and what will be called out as marketing fluff Come on JerryRigEverything videos! Lol

@@dragon81heart Actually, the glass is real glass. It was developed by a Korean company that Samsung acquired recently. It isn't marketing 'bluff'. It's actual glass, as in the glass we use in windows. It's just so thin that it is possible to bend it. If you have ever touched really thin sheets of rock, which is similar in molecular construction to glass, you'll understand that glass DOES bend if it's thin enough. The glass, however does have a thin protective layer of plastic on top of it, so it won't be as resistant to scratches as the current glass used in bar- type smartphones. Please use google and search for info before making hasty accusations, K?

bluLemon the flexible glass is actually made by the same Company that makes all cell phone glass Corning No cell phone company makes their own glass, even Apple uses Corning to make their glass And this is called “Willow Glass” As for real glass as we know it, no it cannot bend And real glass, no matter how thin will not scratch lower than a 6 on the hardness level If this stuff melts or distorts under the flame of a Bic lighter, or scratches at anything below a 6, it isn’t real glass There is a very good chance that this will provide little to no more protection when compared to plastic There is a good chance that there is some marketing fluff to it I’m sure we have all seen some of the tempered glass screen protectors that say on the package that it has a hardness of an 8 or 9 But most are not gullible enough to fall for that Same with those “spray on screen protectors” Tons of marketing fluff Only way to tell for sure it this is actually glass or marketing fluff is to test it And I’m sure Zack will remove any screen protector like he always does

It cracks so much easier because it's curved glass, you can see that the glass started braking from the edge, where it's curved. Plastic can't break, but it feels much cheaper than glass. And at that price, we should at least get a glass back.

tim sides I don’t think so. Motorola in general just isn’t what it was before. It’s cool they brought back the razr but consider this. It’s a current Motorola quality razr, and Motorola is leagues behind some other smartphone manufactures. Great throwback and the phone looks dope af but it’s missing a lot

i agree that the first model razr motorola put out in 2019 had a lot of faults, it was it's first run. but motorola definitely has the best team when it comes to listening to customers and improving their product because the new motorola razr 5G is a way better phone than its predecessor. I'll definitely be looking into it before I do the samsung zflip. The nostalgia factor also is great on it.

Why should samsung pay him for that? For a phone that almost nobody is gonna buy anyway. They are both to expensive. I think the samsung version of a flip phone looks better. The only stupid thing is the small screen on the outside. But if I had the money I would buy one. It looks cool

Bilal true and the hinge is pretty advanced but it’s still a very big vulnerability. I mean even without a hinge or crease in you’re phone a lot of phones still have a pretty vulnerable spot near the antenna band or the volume buttons

I want everyone to go get the Z Flip while I wait for Razr's price to drop by half. I want the Razr, period. But not for that price. I prefer the design and external display. Motorola is still the king to me with flip phone design.

Because it has glass, if you compare it with the fold, you will feel the difference. It only has a plastic layer abough. And it isn't that sensitive when it comes to scratches, because you need more force to scratch it.

Don't listen to these comments. Samsung made a glass so thin it has the durability and feel of PLASTIC. Samsung lied to put the Razr out of business, forgetting that Motorola invented the mobile phone in 1973.
