Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the curved screen. That's a huge deal breaker for me, having been stuck with the curved edges on my S10+ for the past 2 years

@@colins5142 removing outdated features to keep the price down. Most people dont need additional storage because they dont use all of the storage phones come with naturally. If you need a phone with additional storage or phone jack then there are plenty of other options, samsung is known for giving lots of options

I wish they made nicer color options for the ultra. It’s so frustrating that they continue to give us the non-pretty colors with higher spec phones. They did it with previous releases too. Why can’t I have all the high specs in pink 😭

I think Samsung will see the lowest sales of their Galaxy Series with this version. Along with the pandemic but they are removing features like the micro SD storage will cause people to just hold onto their current phones. That's one thing that makes Android phones unique from Apple. Having the ability to use external storage. In that case, people might as well switch to Apple phones. Their camera quality is usually superior in most comparison tests. Maybe Samsung is trying to push people away from the Galaxy and Notes devices. They want them to go with their folding devices maybe? Unless that also won't have an external storage option either. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I went with the S21 and am upgrading from my S9+. The flat screen is what really sealed it for me. I am TIRED of having to deal with the shitty temperered glasses on curved displays. The back not being glass is honestly best for me as it's one less worry for something shattering and I always use a case. Got the 256GB option and not having an SD slot doesn't bother me as I transfer to my PC when I record or take a lot of pictures. I use buds so I could care less about no headphone jack. Really wanted it for the screen, 5G and processor upgrade alone but the camera upgrade and other features not on the S9+ are nice too. I couldn't grab the 45-W adapter (OOS) but did get a new 25W and the Charge Pad Duo with my credit, I'm honestly pretty stoked!

A point to note between rounded and flat glass is durability. The flat screen will be a LOT harder to break than the rounded on a drop

you can say that again. Even if I was willing to spend money on the ultra to get the glass back and QHG resolution you are forced to use an over sized phone. Buying the standard s20 for size alone forces you to make stupid sacrifices. It looks like an actual downgrade from the s20. Since I will be coming from the s10 I will also need a new charger for the super fast charging which will cost more money. All I can say is that the xiaomi mi 11 is starting to look more interesting to buy. Similar specs and costs less

The plus and ultra is simply too big. I also don't see anything significantly worth upgrading coming from a s10 for the price of a new phone. Lets be honest here. Samsung is taking the biscuit this year.

Good video. I feel that the S21 took cues from the S20FE, and that was the best S20 variant, especially in Exynos territories where 5G version was Snapdragon. The lack of microSD card expansion is not too much of an issue. I have SanDisk Dual Drive USB memory sticks to backup from my phones. There are many users who never use or don't have expandable storage. A bit of house keeping is all that's needed. Camera test the S21 ULTRA vs Note 20 Ultra vs iPhone 12 Pro Max vs Huawei Mate 40 Pro+.

just got my s21 ultra in the black color a few days ago, and if anyone is thinking about switching or upgrading to the new device... I sincerely recommend it. The video experience to the smooth animations and an extremely fast response, it's truly an amazing piece of technology. And it feels far more premium than any Samsung device every made.

Love what samsung did, went back on price and learn their lesson. I personally still debating between the s21 and plus. I'm a small phone person, even though I'm a tall man with large hands, I just like that portability factor, plus at home I got my big tablet galaxy s7 plus. Love the flat display and I'm ok with full HD since most people once immerse won't tell the difference on such small screens. I'm ok with no chargers, since I rather pay less and get my own charger which I have now plenty. No SD? Well, I'm going to miss it, but at least their internal storage is faster and for $50 bucks more you double. What i don't like is that samsung neglects is smaller phones ALL the time with its battery, the plus model got a 300mah bump, while the regular one stayed the same. Even last years the s20 plus beat the s20 in battery, so this year it will beat it even more and to me battery life is a must.

@@warhawk2574 I was sort of skeptical, but my old phone was a broken screen s9 with a bad port, so I traded in not expecting to get the $200 credit, but to my surprise I was told via email 5hat it was accepted so I've $200 from a trading a phone that was not worth more than $50. As for getting the phone it was very easy and fast. It took like two days to get, except the galaxy buds. I even applied for their credit and ended up buying the Galaxy s7 plus tablet. The only thing I don't like, was the payment portal if you do get their like of credit, since is sort of.... not mobile friendly.

The no sd card slot is a deal breaker. The 21 ultra really isn't upgraded enough from my 20 ultra to justify the upgrade. Edit: just saw the price is 200 cheaper. Decisions decisions

I opted for the online red version available with Samsung on their site. Trading in my Note 10+ got me a buttload of stuff with their bundles. I highly recommend checking them out if you want to buy outright. The Thanos edition looks cool, but I got the Iron Man edition to go with my red Galaxy buds.

Here is why I love the microSD card... I run out of cloud storage.. recently I had a softwere issue and had to send it to Samsung for a reset.. I didn't lose my pics and data cos I have them all on the SD card... PS - I just realised this means no dual SIM.. that really sucks.. as a person who used to (pre covid) travel abroad 3-4 times a year on holiday I used to love having both local SIM and a SIM of the country I traveling to for data... That way I am connected for my incoming business calls as well as local data rates... Now it's going to suck..

Pricing is insane for s21 in India. Its even more (INR 70,000) than at what the s20 was launched. While in other countries, s21 ($799) is supposed to be less than the launch price of s20 ($999).

Saw this phone at Best Buy today on display.....it is beautiful! Coming from a note 20 ultra, I think the S21 plus will be the perfect phone for me.... much more comfortable and lighter. Also loving the flat screens on the s21 and s21 plus models. They are nice looking and the camera bump is very much improved from the previous model!

Bought the S21 (8/128) exynos version last week, no complaints whatsoever cheaper & pocket friendly than its siblings. Great phone love it 💗

How do you think the tempered glass screen protectors look for the ultra? Will they be the horrible dot matrix things with the adhesive on the edges only? I want the ultra, but I want a flat screen.

Why do you even need it with that much storage. Samsung has been one of the last to remove it.

I've been selling phones for 8 years now. Not ONCE has someone mentioned or asked for the 'curved' screen. It is PURELY aesthetic and does nothing but make the phone more vulnerable to damage and harder to protect. The curved display is literally the reason I won't purchase the ultra.

I got the 21+

I got the S21 plus. And I, honestly, think it's the best from the three phones. It's a good middle option. I like the look of the violet and since it's a good build, I'm content. I got it on sale brand new and unlocked. I saved close to $300 on it.

Now Xiaomi Mi11 makes even more sense

Wireless charging isn't a big deal to me but the removal of the MicroSD card is a huge issue because they can raise the price and anytime in future iterations once they get rid of it just like we see with cloud storage prices will always creep you don't want to lose your microSD card. Samsung keeps this trend up I'm going to have to find a different company to buy my phones from.

I think the processor will be the decider for me. I can do without the SD card as I don't take many photos and videos, but their own processors have been interior to the a Snapdragon for a while, yet charge the same price. Once I see both phone's performance for normal usage over time, I'll decide whether to stick with Samsung or go elsewhere

Just got a new s21, not happy about not getting a charger! I like the phone!

Love the S21 ultra 5g. I bought it and have never looked back. A phenomenal phone. I personally do not like the look and feel of the S22 ultra, it's far too square and sharp, they have tried to make it look too much like a note which it is not, it is an S series. Great video thank you.

Hopefully after watching this video, I know wich one I like to buy. After watching : I want Note 21 Ultra

Naw. First we lost the 3.5 jack, now microSD? Nawwwww son. This is an iPhone. No one going to pay hella premium cash for maximum storage. This is why I still hold onto my Note9.

If I had the funds right now I’d no doubt be going for the S21 Ultra.

Disappointed that Samsung removes expandable storage! 512 GB is not enough for my use, 1TB on the "high high" end would have been perfect but they didn't make it.

I switched from a Note 5 to the S8 and then the S9. It seemed the video and photo quality of the S8/9 was not as good as the Note 5 so I switched back. You asked what to compare the S21/Ultra to. How about a comparison to let us older phone lovers know how much better we will find these new phones to be. Thanks. Great video.

I baught my iphone x 3,5 years ago. Still fast as ever. 999$ and resalevalue is about 300$. 200$ a year is not mutch in my opinion

Then you'll be stuck with upper mid-rangers moving forward with Samsung. I would recommend the Samsung A51 or A71. Another option would be Sony or LG flagships, which are just as good and priced lower than Samsung flagships. My best recommendations for those would be the LG V60 (or Velvet if you want to save a couple dollars, but it has the SD 765G chip) or the Sony Xperia 5 II. Both have SD Card slots, headphone jacks, chargers in the box, and do have last year's flagship Snapdragon 865.

@@WaqManVR thats why they don't include them anymore. I have three pairs of useless samsung earphones that I cannot use because I am allergic to their silicone so I had to buy airpods. I would not need other useless earphones. Charger should be there though.

To be honest I prefer Wireless Buds to Wired buds, I am still using Wired but used wireless ones and they were great

Would love to see comparison to P40 Pro+ as you mention sounds very similar and dont think anything has come out better for all round perfomance.

I believe when the Note 20 Ultra gets the OneUI 3.1 software update, you will be able to set the display to WQHD & 120hz refresh rate.

I had to take my S21 and work it over by eliminating the pre-installed bloatware. As received, the phone was almost unusable -- it was slow, crashed and froze up. After eliminating over 50 "junk" apps it is running more smoothly. This required installation of a program on my PC, hooking up the phone in USB debugging mode, looking up the app package name, using a DOS command prompt with copy+paste to eliminate each app and remnants. It was a real pain! Samsung should offer one without all of these bloatware programs as they just alienate most users! I am not overly impressed with either Samsung or this phone.

I bought S21+ yesterday with Exynos chipset. I am amazed! Just amazing phone! No overheating, in performance is beast, display awesome, great battery life, very high build quality!

Samsung oh Samsung, I remember the days Samsung had REMOVABLE BATTERY, MEMORY EXPANSION SLOT and HEADPHONE JACK as features over other manufacturers, well I guess we've come a long way.

Really unsure between the s21 and s21 plus. Is glass vs plastic really a concern if u are putting a case on it anyway? The biggest differentiator for me is what screen size do I prefer? (Coming from a 6.4' note9). Apart from that everything is pretty much the same.

Just found your channel, found your video very good and informative. I would say ditch the sunglasses though, they are distracting and make you look a bit silly.
