***** I have this phone and I can easily say that is the best smartphone in the market after S6, S6 Edge and maybe G4. There's no doubt that it's better than iPhone 6 in almost all specs. Generally is a premium phone. There are some people that judge all the things according to their price. That's wrong but I want to end to the fact that this smartphone cost 700€ when it realesed. I think the only guys that don't like this smarthone are the Apple fanboys because it's better than iPhones.

No body demo slow motion feature in Galaxy Alpha ?

For me this is the best phone I've seen so far. 1) It has a really high quality materials / 2) it is completely meeting my needs for making calls, texts some features and i-net connection / 3) it has REMOVABLE battery, I'm not sure when actually manufacturers decided integrated batteries are cool... but for it is quite important to be able to remove it and replace it if the performance is not satisfying. For business needs this is quite a good phone!

I had the pleasure of playing with this phone at best buy last night and I gotta say I was impressed immediately after I grabbed it. The Metal frame makes a huge difference in how it feels in the hand. Definitely the best phone Samsung has ever built. If my Moto X wasn't so awesome, and the alpha was available on T-Mobile I would have def considered getting it.

I want to buy a new one, and one with the best features when it comes the camera. But as a bigger fan of Samsung I feel stucked between S5 an the alpha, because I think the S6 has too many "new" features, including in the design, that makes me think of Apple's products. It's got the same specs but with a lower resolution screen so it will actually have better performance than the 1080p S5.

Owning the HTC One M8, I agree with not liking the bottom mounted speaker considering how easy it is to cover with a hand when using it in landscape. But coming from a Galaxy S3, I MUCH prefer a bottom mounted speaker (like on my iPod Touch 5th generation) to a rear firing one on the GS3.

I work at a multi carrier cell phone place up here in the great white north and while the Alpha is a great phone currently exclusive to Bell, it's trying to be a Z3 compact... but it makes small sacrifices in camera, lack of microSD, and loses out on the battery. It's not bad but it's not great either. Sucks that we don't even have the Z3 Compact here though. I'd have to get it off contract unlocked from a gray market 3rd party electronics website or eBay since Sony doesn't ship to Canada. Or maybe it's time for a trip to Buffalo...

This is my first phone & i really love it is very slim & it fits correctly into your hand,the main thing to be proud is it has AIR VIEW feature,the S7 did not have

Zoro using of air view does not slow your phone it is not a app it is a feature if u dont know how to use the feature leave it but dont say it is useless feature , this feature help me to type words in the keyboard easily without touching them & while u r listening to music u can hover your finger to seek the song easily & while u r watching movie in the video player u can simply hover the finger without forwading the movie & dont say not many people dont like these feature better u pronounce that u dont like these feature,According to my point of view using of AIR VIEW just drains the battery not slows the phone. Lets be honest

med karmoude Bro, the battery capacity of the alpha is 1860 mah if u use the phone for talking,browsing the net,1 social messager app (Ex:whatsapp).the battery will come for 18 to 20 hrs,but if u use for heavy games & more apps u should compulsory buy a powerbank,otherwise the phone definitely gets drained up

guys i have a choice between the G3 and the Alpha as a 2nd phone ( i NEED a second phone) along side the iphone 6, which one would be a better choice if my concerns are mainly battery life, feel in hand, minimal software lag and a good display ( really dont know what to choose between the AMOLED or the QHD). I dont take photos on my phones so the camera isnt an issue and i want a decent media consumption device ( dont care about the speaker, i always use earphones). I dont want a Spec based answer please :).

Sony Xperia Z3. Longest battery life on a smartphone (around 13 hours of on-screen time), a great camera (20.3MP), good Full HD display. It's waterproof and dust-proof, but it's got glass on the front and back, so feels premium, but quite fragile if you drop it (I recommend a case).

Alright, for starters, I think either Moto X is a fine choice. If you got the money, (and the invite,) get a Oneplus One IMMEDIATELY. If you don't, a G3 will do you fine, if you can though Note 3 or 4.

a7madLA why does it need to be between those two? Personally, I would go for the alpha based on what you are after. However, you're going to have to purchase a bigger battery for the alpha (don't buy cheap Chinese ones, as they can explode).

Vv hese since the battery is small the phones battery would be reduced half its power if it was a full 1080, I'm the type to watch KZread videos in 360p to save data so maybe I'm not the best answer giver lol but a quality 720 beats any 'HD screen' on a budget device lol

Guys I'm looking for a new phone since my first gen moto G is complete trash at the moment. I'm between this and the Huawei p8 but the second one costs a lot more than Alpha BUT Alpha is way older and the battery life bothers me. Should I get the alpha or go for the Huawei?. The multitasking capabilities of this phone will push some people away, just aware that it's not the fastest and it is even slower than some of the older galaxy s models, this phone is not perfect, and is frustrating especially now days but its's not terrible, it's still a smart phone after all.

Still i don't get why does it cost 1000$ in my country.

Maybe Sounds funny but I would even recommend this phone in 2017...it's just a really good phone. Mine still runs super fast after 2 years of hard use without any problems whatsoever and can hold it's own against my s7. And the thin design is still never beaten. So yeah my s7 maybe a split second faster with some heavy games but my Alpha is great for the normal users. .whatsapp, mail, Google. ..does everything and does it fast. No lag, no heat, 32gb, light, premium feel..etcetc. ..It's an absolute winner. 1 con..the battery but you can buy an extra big battery from samsung that comes with a different backplate specially made for the Alpha . It will probably be dirt cheap by now

Hope that there will be a galaxy alpha 2 which will have a micro sd card slot

Looks like this is a response from samsung to the Iphone 6.. The screen size and the PPI number surely suggests that.. The metal is for it to feel as premium as the Iphone 6 and i bet you that this the most beautiful phone Samsung designed. If i buy it i will look for CM 11 on it.. NO TOUCHWIZ PLEASE...

It felt really much better on hand when compared to any Samsung flagship phones (tried at AT&T store yesterday). I can't believe I'm saying this but to my taste it looks and feels better than any Android flgships even M8. I'm sure Samsung will use this design with S6. Actually I think if S5 had had this design, they wouldn't have lost lots of profit in the last two quarters
