two weeks before he passed away, and with virtually no strength left, he visited a Children Variety's fair in LA to lightened hundred of children's faces singing, "Candy Man." What a wonderful giving soul. So glad I was there to video this wonderful demonstration of kindness.

Even Elvis was aware of Sammy's special talents. He once called Sammy the finest entertainer around. For his size and stature he could belt out the tunes with the best of them. Sing, dance, act, perform, and was the fastest quick draw pistol packer in Hollywood. Oh, and all with one eye by the by!

Started out in life as a 5 year old in vaudeville. Performed through Racism and Jim Crow Laws. All that America could throw at him and he kept going. This man was way past a class act. He did what all the white acts was doing with twice the talent half the respect and done it with a smile. Do you know what kind of spirit you needed to have in those days?! Unshakable! Rock Solid! This man was truly great! Miss you Mr. Davis!

Sammy Davis Jr was a major talent, He could sing, dance, act and run rings around his contemporaries. Unfortunately when he died, he was in debt even though he worked 52 weeks in a year. His business manager stole most of his money. His wife,Altovese had to work tirelessly after his death to pay off his debts. Now that' s love!! And he deserved it, too!!!

Kim Alonzo people got to stop believing crap like this. A lot of musicians insist on being paid in cash which makes it easier to hide from the thieving tax man. A lot of stars cry broke just to keep up the charades. Sammy probably had a million dollars in pinky rings alone, let alone all the other fingers. Don't even ask about necklaces. Chuck Berry was notorious for demanding cash wherever he played. He would roll in, play the gig, collect his cash and roll right on out to the next city.

Unconventional in looks, size and faith (his conversion to Judaism) and full to the brim with that other, more profound, kind of swing: SOUL!
