SAMBARafting Hunting from the river

Join us on a victorian alpine river hunt. Together Rob Fickling from Beyond the Divide and a keen crew from our local ADA branch we set off seeking adventure along our wilderness rivers. A big thank you to Geoff from Packraft for advice and support. Head over to beyondthedivide or search on vimeo for the full version of this adventure.

    Hey Pat, cheers buddy. This trip was on one of the major Victorian high country rivers. They are pretty seasonal. Lots on info can be found on whitewater forums about good rafting rivers and best water heights etc. we put a lot of research and time with countless hours of recon into these areas. They can be dangerous even with low flows so be sure to buddy up and do some solid research.

    Hi , great work guys ,very inspiring , just wanting your thoughts on a good set of binoculars .I realise you pay for what you get but I,m sure all you guys wpould have different brands and have compared them. Also do you go whole hog and buy the range finding electronic version, save carrying extra range finder?

  • @IntotheMountains

    @IntotheMountains

    5 жыл бұрын

    Hey mate, used quite a few. Very personal thing. Different eyes will pick up different glass. Getting the right fit and eye relief is important too. Really a question of what you do most and purchase to that purpose. I don’t go for electronic stuff in glass as it will date. If your going to invest in something high end it will last you a lifetime. Or buy a few cheaper ones that cover different situations. Such as the vortex vulture in 15x56 for top alpine glassing the a midrange x10 for everything else
