It had probably been years.

The clip starts with Hoda rudely ordering, “let’s go…” and as soon as the guy starts to “go,” they don’t let him speak. They just pile their voices right on top of him in a way that’s almost violent. It’s some kind of soft bullying. Nightmare. So satisfying to watch this.

+Ryan Douglas Their behavior may have been rude (still arguable since their whole job is to make their show interesting and a way you do that is by making sure there is something lively going on at all times, i.e. talking) but it was also rude of him to say it like he did. He was patronizing and insulting because he lost his temper then he tried to weasel his way out of it. Let's hope that you aren't so much of a hypocrite that you can't realize that he was just as rude as they were.

Indeed - they're just the "pretty faces for television" and don't have as much clout or pull on the executive level as they often think they have. Literally the only thing show hosts have is brand recognition for their on-air personas, and while that gives them a lot of leeway that doesn't automatically make them bosses.

I like how there is no problem if BOTH of them talk over their guest but as soon as he points out they are fucking it up they are upset and let him know he wont be invited back.

Sam's absolutely right. The sad thing is that after he said that, the ladies didn't apologize for continually interrupting and not letting him talk. They just insulted him and said "enjoy your last time on the Today show" which was incredibly rude of them. If you're gonna have a guest on, allow him/her to answer questions without interrupting constantly.

I remember watching this video a LONG time ago, I had no idea it was Sam. I watch Sam all the time now. It's crazy how small the internet really is.

Cross chatter drives me absolutely insane. Good to see someone tell it like it is.

My favorite part is when after he shuts them up, they both, tight-lipped, say 'alright' then shut back up as he's talking about the feta cheese 🧀. He def put them in their place, and it was AWESOME to see.
