She was Regis's sidekick for a few years and a most boring personality who assumes she can sing. She's just butt hurt because Kristin has pegged her personality and does it beautifully. But, if you notice, the real Kathy doesn't pass up an opportunity to pick on others. They are talking about Kristin's singing in this clip, but obviously, Kristin is overdoing the singing part as part of the comical gig. Actually, in reality, she's still not off much from Kathy's boring repertoire and singing style. Which makes it even fumier. Trust me, Tati Toro, you're not missing anything from not knowing who Kathy Lee Gifford is. She's a drunken "has been", who wasn't much of a "been" to begin with but rode on the coattails of her husband and Regis.

That wasn’t the point. The SNL message was that Kathie Lee THINKS Hoda is boring. You’ll see this in the other SNL sketches made on KLG. KLG is a self centered primadonna who can’t take a joke, exactly what SNL said. Hoda is just along for the ride.

But with this (and especially after acting like she's "above that childish humour" and doesn't see the joke in it (i.e. she's butthurt because they were making fun of her)) she's proved that the SNL parody of her character is actually completely accurate.

SeedyReed i don’t think Kathie Lee and Hoda should’ve picked jobs where they’d be on national television everyday if they can’t handle a sketch made about them. They went on about the sketch for so long because of how accurate it is. If it wasn’t and they were confident in that, they would’ve left it alone and moved on.

Instead she got offended and showed her ugly side. That's the last thing you do in this situation! Instead, play along. Then on every Monday following the Sat. night act, you can create a show toward them, keeping it clean and fun! When we get offended its usually because the one poking fun has struck a nerve because it's true.

I think they meant, ‘Kristen Wiig is why KLG is being talked about by people today.’ Kathie’s ship sailed LOOOONG ago... Actually, if memory serves, her ship never sailed. She was an original Real Housewife whose husband got her a kush co-hosting job on daytime television. I always felt kinda bad for Regis. She’s always been a train wreck though. That’s her claim to fame.

I have never been as big a fan of Kathie as she is of herself.She thinks she is AMAZING.

After watching this, Kristin's impersonation is spot on.

I never watched the today show until I saw Kristen, but turns out it's barely a parody.

The fact that they (mostly Kathie Lee) don't understand that being spoofed on SNL means you're important or being talked about clearly shows how dumb they are. Kathie Lee didn't even know who Kristen was. No wonder Gelman let her go!

"They said Hoda's story was boring." NO they made Kathie say that Hoda's story was boring in the parody. To show how bitchy she can be to Hoda in the Today's show. That's a whooooooole different scenario there, ladies. Also, I never watched the Today show, I'm Dutch (Holland, the Netherlands) and I have to say, Kristen's impression is spot on.

Kathie Lee was obnoxious, and unable to harmonize, but Enya specifically said she'd sing "If you join in with me." and a big smile on her face. I'm no fan of K.L., but this wasn't a demonstrable moment against her character.

Ironically, Kathie Lee and Kristen Wiig bear a real life resemblance to each other. LOL
