Devil Has A New Face im convinced he knew and im sure he already had been to the doctor and was told he was on short time and nothing can be done.. if you remember at his HOF speech he was sweating heavily and apologized for that,. so im sure he knew exactly why he sweat so much, that was just another one of the signs of his health. I do believe however, if he did NOT enter the HOF he would have extended his life several months or more...

The "heat" between Warrior and Vince is really just about business. Jim Helwig created the character and Vince wanted to own it and couldn't stand the thought of any kind of 50/50 partnership, and Warrior wasn't willing to sacrifice a single penny of the money he earned. That's really what its all about - trademark of an image and name, and who exactly owns it. As far as wrestling, UW has always said he didn't grow up watching it, he doesn't care about Flair and Hart and guys that like to wrestle. He was a bodybuilder and somebody approached him and suggested he could make a living off being a wrestler, since bodybuilding doesn't pay much of anything. He never tried to get into wrestling, wrestling came to him, and he was a character that sold more merchandise than Hogan and Warrior KNOWS he had the better match at Wrestlemania 7, NOT Hogan/Slaughter. Warrior vs Macho was the match fans went to that show to see. Hogan's match was secondary and everybody knows it. HHH might have resented being squashed at #12, but as he's gotten older, he knows now that "was best for business" in giving a big comeback to classic star. The 2005 DVD was meant to make UW look bad, but it was a top selling DVD for the WWE that year. Vince probably realized back then that UW's popularity is still in effect no matter how bad they try to make him look, and now its all in the past, and its time for both Warrior and Vince to cash in on a profitable character. Ultimate Warrior is "best for business" and if he doesn't want to wrestle, a flashback to the funeral parlor and a simple stare down with undertaker at Royal Rumble 2014 would be big enough to make an entire arena roar. FEEL THE POWER !

I swear I love reading through KZread comments. Cracks me up. The things people think they know, never gets old. Any real wrestling fan knows Warrior wasn't a great technical wrestler, but at one time he was the most popular wrestler in the world. He may not have been the easiest person to work, neither was Shawn Michaels, but that doesn't mean he didn't leave his mark on the business. He is very deserving of his HOF induction this year. He also was not forced out of wrestling because he didn't draw, that's just stupid to say. He sold more merch than anyone. You can't compare WM3's crowd to any other. It's still the biggest today. He was fired for holding up Vince at SS'91 for money he was owed anyway. As far as the man, Jim Hellwig goes, he may be a little different, but have you ever seen any of his meet and greets or talked to him. He's very nice and takes the time to sign whatever you want, how you want and takes multiple pics with everyone. Oh and this is the real UW, he never died. Still alive and well and is not broke either. He has net worth of almost $2M. Ok, I'm done now, thanks lol

Minus the "What's the haps" question (which is his "thing" he does for everyone), he's always respectful to his guests and is clearly a big wrestling fan. That being said, it's great to see Warrior and the WWE are starting to patch things up. A couple years ago Lesnar was contacted by Yuke's and it opened up the door for his return. At this pace, I would not be surprised if Warrior did something at WM30.

I think warrior was a really good but intense guy who felt persecuted and fought back for years. Finally it was nice to see him relax a bit. I wish he survived as we probably would of seen more of him.

I loved the Warrior back in the day. I only went to one wwf/wwe wrestling event. And that was when the warrior came to Fort Wayne. Just loved everything about him. His face paint, muscles, his arm bands, his combination of bright colors, his 80's like rock and roll hair, his color costume style. He was the guy who rescued wwf fans from Hulk hogan and his boring tenure of not getting beat. That being said; i admit looking at these you tube videos of him,[Warrior]. He's a complete a-s whole.

so glad he gets hall of fame, I loved the over the top persona of his, i didn't understand the interviews but so what they were cool none the less lol I didn't pre-order wwe 2k14 cause I keep myself strictly on a 2 game reserve limit, and I had pre-ordered gta v (yeah I know, sorry, I caved to the hype ) so I bought the regular copy, but I played the warrior vs hogan match over and over, lol and today I see the 3rd dlc pack....next to that is Warrior and ABA Taker (yay!) lol

The Warrior didn't ruin his career but got pretty much what he wanted out of it. He started wrestling when he was in his mid 20s, so he didn't want to wrestle straight through his 40s or 50s especially given the house show schedule. He had other things he wanted to do with his life. I too wish his interesting character would've been around longer but I can totally understand why he wanted to stop. What you see as anger I see as a straight shooter who doesn't like the BS/politics in the business

It's not like he came to them, begging to be in the game. They came to him with the offer to include Ultimate Warrior in WWE2K14. Clearly they were respectful and professional enough in their approach, because he therefore accepted and seems excited about it.

Warrior was right when he stated that wrestling characters back then connected with people in a heartfelt way. Watch Hogan vs. Rock at WM18. The Rock, who was in his prime, was booed out of the building based off of everything Warrior said. The Attitude era w/ Austin, Rock, Foley, Undertaker etc. may have struck gold, but it was all about "what have you done for me lately" and pushing racy extreme boundaries which people found shocking in the 90s.
