@@Bbknuckles yes it is a real question!!! My nephew is 13yrs old and has mental illness and he's not mentally 13yrs old. He's in small classes because of learning disability so don't laugh at something you don't know about. I've had him and his sister for 7yrs now because of the parents choose other people and drugs so I have full custody of them. Im disabled after being diagnosed with a rare kidney disease at 5yrs old and started dialysis at age 16yrs old dude. I lost my life more times than I can count during those times. I missed all my childhood and doctors thought I wouldn't have even make it through my teenage yrs. Had a transplant and its doing good but my body just can't handle all work labor in jobs. I deal with depression anxiety! My nephew loves wrestling and he's always dreamed about meeting all kinda wrestlers. Yes its probably a really long shot but hey what's wrong with me trying to ask!!!!!! I shouldn't even have responded to you but god bless ya man thank you for your service.

Bret is still my #1 GOAT, but Warrior is like a theatrical device that proves most wrestlers want their cake and to eat it to. You'll hear them constantly bitch how work rate and being the best technically in the ring doesn't matter, it's about getting over with the fans. Unless you're Warrior lmao. Guy captured the hearts of millions, made his money, and GTFO. I don't excuse his roughness and actually hurting others in the ring, that is indeed a hard line that I won't argue. But to act like the business isn't about drawing money is hilarious when it's not going their way, etc.

There is no doubting warrior was super over with the fans. Backstage he was clearly difficult to work with. Now i understand some wrestlers will speak the tune of wwe especially if they are employed by them but even former wrestlers and those not on good terms with wwe don't have many positive things to say about him. No doubt he had a great look, great body, energetic entrance, but he didn't want to improve his skills. Shawn michaels was a difficult guy to work with in the mid to late 90s by his own admission but he always did different things and improved his skills. Warrior didn't.

@@johnnyappleseed9638 I honestly don't think it's about jealousy. I think the vast majority of wrestlers want to improve, entertain and get along with everyone. Wrestling is like any other job, you gotta see these people weekly, there's no reason to create unnecessary friction. I think we all loved Warrior, but it's not attacking him to say he was difficult to work with and self centered. Every single wrestler says the same things about him, I believe it.

What I gathered was the fact it was constant, rather than a different way of ending the match. Since Warrior kicking out of the powerbomb, especially with the way he would do it, would just shit on Sid. I got the impression his issue was the same finish that made him look weak.

I get that skepticism when it comes to wrestling: I question it every time Jake Roberts talks about how you can't do the DDT safely anywhere but in the ring, I question it whenever Hogan talks about not knowing whether Andre was willing to do the job at WM3, and I question the legitimacy of several famous shoot moments. But given what you can still see and hear at the end of WM6, combined with Bruti's tendency to defend Hogan in any situation, it just makes more sense to believe your eyes and ears. And that's not a slap at brother Bruti, either. I always liked the Barber character and enjoyed his matches more than others seem to.

The thing that many people fail to realize is the intelligence of the Warrior. He played by his own rules and knew that Vince is/was/& always out for himself and whatever money he could make off the men who make WWE what is is. Warrior made people mad because he was able to out maneuver Vince with the personal merchandising when he changed his name and retained all the rights to his own likeness. Dude wouldn’t roll over for greedy promoters and got himself and a few others paid. You have to admit it took balls to play the WWE game and win. I had the pleasure of meeting Warrior at a signing and he was amazing to all the fans that were there. The guy took the time to have actual conversations with every person that was in line to see him. His character worked. The WWE hall of fame induction was long overdue and you could tell what his family meant to him. RIP Warrior.

The guy didn't WIN anything. The idiot could've had a long career with a lot of big paydays but he was too focused on the short-term. Now that's probably because he had no talent or love for the business, and maybe he was smart enough to realize that eventually promoters would catch on that he couldn't put on a decent match without a metric ton of help. So if that was the case, then yeah, he was smart in getting paid and getting out. But in terms of the money he could've made if he was willing to play ball, he lost out on a fortune by being an untrustworthy man-child. And really, the only good thing he did for the business was fuck off fast, and make way for guys who Actually give a shit and can wrestle.

Warrior was my all time favorite for so many reasons. First, before you even see him, you hear the name. The Ultimate Warrior. Damn! And then you see him. Every kid in school wanted to look like him. Physique, long hair, make up. The interviews, although most people talk smack, I thought they were outstanding. Clever, creative, thought provoking, unusual and very intense. The music was perfect. Late 80s guitar driven hard rock that you have to run to the ring. Shaking the ropes and creating more electricity. I just wish he was a better wrestler. But he wasnt. He was just there to kick every ones ass.

This night there were about 4 or 5 teenagers waiting when out walk The British Bulldogs with the Ultimate Warrior (still Dingo Warrior then). All excited, we followed them for a few steps when under his breath, Warrior said "fuck off" to me and the other 3 or 4 fans. Scared shitless and shocked, we stopped in our tracks. Having met plenty of wrestlers after shows this was the ONLY negative experience I ever had. End of story.

He was always a believer in less is more. He could go out there and do little as possible for a 20 minute match and draw great heat for it. He could work with just about anyone and make it a decent to good match too. He was a good worker that really understood what the business was back then.

I'm not a gigantic Ultimate Warrior fan, but there was definitely something to him. That awesome theme song, the sprinting to the ring, just so much awesome energy he projected. But Brutus Beefcake is delusional if he doesn't or is ignoring the fact that the people went nuts when Warrior beat Hogan

Yeah, even Hogan said that people were more concerned with watching the loser leave the ring than with watching the winner get the belt. But what's fucked up nowadays is that unless you were there, and unless you had seen it on TV when it happened, you really don't know what kind of pop there was because SFX has added crowd noise post production on so many big events.

I was a huge Ultimate Warrior fan as a kid. Then I met him in Los Angeles at LAX. I was serving in the US Army at the time and I was in uniform. Getting ready to board a plane that would take me to Kuwait, then Iraq in 2007. He basically told me that “it wasn’t (his) fault that (I) wasn’t smart enough to go to college and had to join the military instead.” Never mind that I have a masters degree. But he treated me like shit for absolutely no reason. He was just pissed that I had the audacity to speak to his superior presence.

I remember thinking, when I was a 10yr old WWF Fan, that Ultimate Warrior was the BAMF EVER because he beat guys so dang fast! All my friends and I would say the same thing...'He HAS to be better than Hulk, he beat ____ in about 2 minutes!' after these matches, now I know it was because he was not a good worker & Vince was smart enough to hide his incompetence. It worked on us little kids of the 80s-Early 90s.😳 These interviews are amazing. I can't get enough, it is so compelling and nostalgic. Bravo, gentlemen. 👏👏👏

The story of the Warrior reminds me of the old saying, "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power." The ugliness of his character that he was so compelled to exhibit after gaining some fame as a pro wrestler still doesn't outweigh the joy I had as a kid watching that era of wrestling. Maybe he changed his ways? Unfortunately, he never made any public comment to affirm the transition of his thinking. O well. RIP Warrior. I am not going to judge you.
